Flamengo supporters shouted and cursed at the board, the coach and the athletes as they left the stadium, at the hotel where they were staying and even at the airport when they left for Rio de Janeiro.
Afraid that even more angry people would gather at the club's Training Center this afternoon, the military police were called. Journalist Vitor Belloti, who is there, reported that two hours before training started, police cars were already lining up at the entrance. 30 officers are expected to secure the entrance to the CT.
Training with the team will start at 4 pm (Brasília time) and the focus will be on the next game. On Sunday (13) Flamengo will face São Paulo for the Brazilian Championship. With one less competition to distribute attention, the squad is expected to perform better and manage to catch up with the tournament leader, Botafogo, who are 13 points ahead.
