In the last six games under Tite's command, Flamengo presented an inconsistent performance, oscillating between victories, defeats and a frustrating draw. The team won three matches, lost two and drew one, showing that the Tite era at the club is still in the adjustment and development phase.

Of these three victories, one of them brought some relief to the red and black fans , signaling a possible return of confidence in the team, which was coming from a period of uncertainty before the coach's arrival. However, the defeats, especially the recent one against Peñarol, and the bitter draw against Vasco, have made it clear that there are many challenges ahead.

A MOMENT FOR CORRECTION

Tite, known for his ability to organize teams and implement a disciplined style of play, took over Flamengo with high expectations. But, so far, performance on the field has raised doubts among fans and analysts. The draw against Vasco, for example, was seen as a wasted opportunity, as Flamengo was considered favorite in the Rio derby. The lack of offensive efficiency was one of the points criticized, as the team created chances, but was unable to transform the superiority into goals.

The defeat to Peñarol, however, can be considered the most worrying point of this sequence of six games. Flamengo was dominated at different moments of the match, highlighting weaknesses in both the defensive sector and midfield. Despite some flashes of creativity in attack, the team was unable to impose its game rhythm against the Uruguayans. Tite, in his press conference after the match, acknowledged the mistakes, but highlighted that work is in progress and that adjustments will be made: “We know where we went wrong, we are working to correct it. Football requires patience and focus in the process of evolution.”

One of the main questions raised after these games has been the tactical scheme adopted by Tite. The coach has been experimenting with different formations, in an attempt to find the ideal balance between attack and defense. However, constant changes seem to be impacting collective performance. The lack of interaction in some matches was evident, with players showing difficulty in adapting to their new roles on the field.

The last match of Flamengo against Peñarol was marked not only by a performance below expectations, but also by the red and black fans' growing dissatisfaction with coach Tite. The game ended with boos and protests from fans who showed up in droves at the stadium. With more than 60,000 people present, frustration was evident both at half-time and at the final whistle.

Although Flamengo is one of the most popular and successful clubs in Brazilian football, the team has faced recent challenges on the field , mainly under the command of Tite. The confrontation against Peñarol was further proof that the team's performance is below expectations, especially when considering the level of the players and the investment made by the board. Flamengo presented a weak performance, with few clear scoring opportunities, which was enough to irritate the fans.

FLAMENGO HAS ITS ESTIMATES IN THE RETURN GAME

< Football is a sport driven by passion, and at Flamengo, this passion is even more evident. Fans expect the team to dominate on the field, especially when playing at home in a packed stadium. However, what we saw against Peñarol was a team that failed to impose itself, appearing disconnected at different moments of the game. The result was an almost immediate reaction from the fans, who began to show their discontent during halftime.

At halftime, the boos were already audible. Many fans showed dissatisfaction not only with the players' performance, but, mainly, with Tite's tactical decisions. The team was unable to create consistent offensive plays, which highlighted a lack of organization on the field. With a lackluster performance and little creativity, Flamengo was unable to reliably threaten the Uruguayan team.

The discontent that began at halftime intensified in the final minutes of the game. As the final whistle approached and the fans' frustration increased, the criticism became more direct and intense. When the referee ended the match, the more than 60 thousand fans present in the stadium joined their voices in protest, directing much of the criticism towards coach Tite. Although the coach had already been the target of criticism previously, the demonstration this time was significantly stronger and broader.

Erick Pulgar, midfielder for Flamengo, produced one of his worst performances since his arrival at the club. The player was booed by the fans when he left the field, in a game marked by errors that directly contributed to the team's negative result. The match against Peñarol highlighted Pulgar's drop in performance.

Right in the play that resulted in the Uruguayan team's first goal, the midfielder attempted a pass that made no sense in the context of the play, forcing a situation that ended up being intercepted and generating the decisive counterattack. It was a crucial error that put Flamengo in a vulnerable position at the beginning of the game.

PULGAR IS CHARGED BY FLAMENGO FANS

Despite this serious error , Pulgar even had a moment of lucidity when he risked a shot from outside the area that forced Peñarol's goalkeeper to make a good save. This was, however, one of the few glimpses of productivity in a game that, in general, was much lower than expected for an athlete of his position and experience.

The main problem in Pulgar's performance was his inability to support the midfield. Flamengo suffered from a lack of control in the central sector, and the Chilean, who should have been a key player in organizing the game, was unable to perform this role. His passes were inaccurate, his movement slow and his marking ability inefficient. This left the team exposed, allowing Peñarol to have more freedom to attack and create dangerous plays.

This poor performance was not an isolated case, but rather part of a sequence of games in which Pulgar did not have managed to stand out. Since arriving at Flamengo, he has been oscillating between good and bad performances, but the drop in performance in recent matches has been visible. The player, who arrived with starting status and with expectations of being one of the pillars of the Red and Black midfield, has had difficulties adapting to the team's style of play and the intensity of the competitions that Flamengo competes in.
