Pagoda at the top! Artists Thiaguinho and Mumuzinho received nominations for the 2023 Latin Grammy, in the prestigious "Best Samba/Pagode Album" category. The former singer of Exaltasamba competes with "Meu Nome é Thiago André (Ao Vivo)", while Mumuzinho seeks to win the award with "Resenha do Mumu".


Along with these two talented musicians, Martinho da Vila is also in the running , Maria Rita and Roberta Sá, with the albums "Negra Ópera", "Desse Jeito" and "Sambasá", respectively. Last year, the winner of this award was Ludmilla, with the album "Numanice #2". In this edition, Ludmilla is not in the running, but had the honor of presenting the category.


The musicians recognized by the Academy in the 24th edition of this award were announced this Tuesday (19), and notable Brazilians such as Filipe Ret, Iza and the late Marília Mendonça are also among the nominees. The awards ceremony is scheduled for November 16th, in Seville, Spain.
