In another game away from home, in the seventh round of the NBB, FlaBasquete took off in the last quarter and beat Unifacisa 87 to 77 , this Friday (1), at Arena Unifacisa. Argentinean Franco Balbi was the highlight of the match with 29 points, and also broke his scoring record in a match for Novo Basquete Brasil.
Highlights
Franco Balbi – 29 points;
Jordan Williams – 15 points;
Alexey – 9 points.
1st Quarter
The first two red-black points came from a good play by Gui Deodato for Ruan, who wrote it down under the basket. Flamengo's start to the game was devastating. With a triple ball from Alexey, Pride of the Nation took a 10-2 lead on the scoreboard. Lucas Siewert also repeated his teammate and scored from the three-point line. Highlight for the red and black defense, which seemed well adjusted, preventing Unifacisa's advances. FlaBasquete dominated the first part of the quarter, and in the final minutes, the home team reacted and took the lead: 20 to 18.
2nd Room
On the court, Balbi found Kayo Gonçalves in the dead zone and he scored a triple ball, regaining the advantage on the scoreboard. The confrontation remained very balanced, with the teams alternating ahead on the scoreboard. The red-black team made mistakes in the offensive sector and wasted some shots. In the last seconds, Pride of the Nation increased its production, turned the score around and went into the break ahead by two points: 38 to 36.
3rd Room
With a hot hand, Balbi made a good move through the dead zone and hit his second triple ball of the game. The Argentine point guard commanded the red and black team, having an excellent performance after the break. Jordan Williams also took responsibility and scored well in attack. Unifacisa, in turn, followed behind the red-black team, not allowing Fla to gain an advantage on the scoreboard. In the final seconds, Williams went for the dunk and closed the match at 63 to 61 for Mengão.
4th Quarter
In the opening seconds of the last quarter, Balbi hit another three in the game. On the court, Jhonatan Luz also followed his teammate and scored two triple balls.
