“My relationship with Mister (Leonardo Jardim) is incredible, one of the best I’ve ever had. We talk a lot. Also because Jorge Jesus is a good friend of his , we make calls and talk to Jorge. Our relationship is incredible . I want to play always, but I respect the coach’s decision and I hope to have more opportunities,” said the striker.

Gabigol also commented on the possibility of Jorge Jesus taking over the Brazilian National Team . Although he praised the Portuguese, he said he did not have any concrete information on the matter.
“I don’t know anything. This job is not mine. Of course I would like it to be, he was the best coach I worked with. But I can’t say much because I never worked with other names. I never spoke to Ancelotti , I never used my Italian with him ,” he joked.
Jorge Jesus, who has been free on the market since leaving Al Hilal, was considered to take over the Brazilian national team. However, according to columnist Lauro Jardim from the newspaper O Globo, the coach was vetoed by Neymar's father during a meeting with the president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues.

The first player to be out is 33-year-old defender González Pírez , a River Plate youth product. The defender suffered a Grade 3 hamstring injury in his right thigh and is expected to be out for at least a month , ruling him out of both matches against the red-and-blacks.
