Flamengo fans have been protesting against ticket prices in 2025 , but despite the most varied demonstrations from the red-blacks, the club's president, Luiz Eduardo Baptista, does not intend to reduce prices.
Tickets have increased by up to 50% compared to the first games of the Brazilian Championship last year. Full ticket prices vary from R$100 to R$500 , depending on the sector of the Maracanã. The most popular, the North sector, went from R$80 in 2024 to R$100 in 2025. The South sector, however, remains at R$80.
The same prices will apply for tomorrow's match against Corinthians. Despite complaints, tickets were sold out after disappointing performances in the games against Internacional and Juventude . In the Libertadores, the increase was even greater compared to 2024. The Lower West sector, for example, went from R$110 to R$180, a variation of 63%. The North sector went for R$120 and the South for R$100.
Bap, however, is not willing to back down. His and the board's idea is to boost the new fan membership program. It was launched at the beginning of the month with the ambitious goal of entering the world's top 10. Members are entitled to discounts on tickets. The percentage varies according to the plan, and the first game with the new categories was against Juventude.
Even though Vasco is in charge, Flamengo fans have not forgotten their argument with Bap about the price of tickets. Before the match, which was on the eve of Easter, the red-and-blacks hung a Judas effigy with a picture of the president and the phrase: "Bap, enemy of the fans".
Against Juventude, the manager was insulted and heard chants of "lower the ticket price". In addition, a banner was hung with the phrase: "expensive ticket, empty stands". That day, only 28,931 people paid for a ticket, a crowd well below the red-and-black standard.
Still in the Carioca, in the match against Maricá, the organized groups promoted a boycott. None of them were present in the stands of Maracanã in protest. After that game, Bap remained firm in his position.
Pedro will make a decision about his future at Flamengo next week. A meeting between the striker, his staff, and the Flamengo board will take place.

Pedro's situation at Flamengo has taken on new chapters in recent days. After being left out of the squad against São Paulo, the striker became a hot topic due to public criticism from the team's coach, Filipe Luís, who cited poor training performance as the reason for his exclusion.
The statement caused discomfort among the player's representatives, who are now considering a possible exit from the club. Behind the scenes, a member of Flamengo's football department even stated that they would accept a €15 million (R$97.5 million) offer to negotiate the player.
Evolution of Pedro's market value
Knee surgery and strain with the coaching staff caused Pedro's market value to stagnate after peaking in 2024. Now, even though he is valued at over R$140 million, Flamengo is considering selling him for much less than the estimated value.
It remains to be seen what the next step in the striker's career will be, and whether any club will be willing to pay the Rubro-Negro's desired price.
The English team player also spoke about the provocations from the red-black fans on social media after the victory

This past Sunday (13), Chelsea beat PSG by a score of 3-0, becoming champion of the Club World Cup. After the match, midfielder Moisés Caicedo highlighted that the English team's defeat to Flamengo made the team "wake up" and fight for the title. Remembering that Mais Querido was the only team that beat the "Blues" in the tournament.
Caicedo talks about the defeat to Flamengo: "They motivated us a lot (Flamengo's provocations)."
He continued: " The truth is that, obviously, we know we lost to them , but we responded without saying so much. We responded here with the champion's medal," said Moisés Caicedo, after Chelsea 's Club World Cup title.
Flamengo and Chelsea faced each other in the second round of the World Cup group stage. The English team took the lead thanks to Pedro Neto. However, in the second half, the Mais Querido pulled off a major comeback with goals from Bruno Henrique, Danilo, and Wallace Yan.
So, while Chelsea celebrates its title, Flamengo focuses its attention on the next commitment of the season. The Most Beloved faces Santos , this Wednesday (16), at 8 pm, at Vila Belmiro, in a game valid for the 14th round of the Brasileirão.
The club, which is prioritizing other cases at the moment, has already started negotiations with the athlete's staff, whose contract is ending.

Flamengo has officially begun negotiations with Agustín Rossi regarding a possible contract renewal. The Argentine goalkeeper, whose contract runs until December 2027, has expressed his desire to extend his contract with the club, with a salary increase included in the negotiations. The information was released by journalist Gabriel Reis, known as "Paparazzo Rubro-Negro."
Last Monday (14), Rossi's agent was at Ninho do Urubu to begin talks. The expectation is that the parties will move forward in July to align the terms of a new contract . Internally, the move is seen as a way to value a player who has established himself as a key part of the squad.
Rossi arrived at Flamengo at the start of the 2023 season, after excelling at Boca Juniors. With solid performances and consistency, he quickly assumed a starting position. Since then, he has put in strong performances and provides security in the defense. His current contract runs until the end of 2027, but the player's staff believes a raise is commensurate with his performance.
Despite the interest in keeping Rossi for longer, the club's board, under the leadership of football director José Boto, has prioritized other renewals at the moment. Cases like that of full-back Guillermo Varela, whose contract runs until the end of this year, and midfielder Arrascaeta, whose contract runs until 2026, are on the immediate agenda.
Even without rushing, Rossi 's name is already on the table at the club's management. Boto understands that the appreciation of strategic assets is part of the club's policy, and that the Argentine goalkeeper, given his solid performance, deserves special consideration. The topic should advance in parallel with other areas of the football department.
