A genuinely handcrafted piece from Amapa traveled to the state of Rio de Janeiro to be delivered to global actress Mariana Ximenes. The piece is the work of artisan Pedro Bolão, resident of the Quilombo do Curiaú, in Amapá, and a fan of the artist.
To reach the actress, in addition to facing a few hours of flight, the delivery of the gift had the help of the actor Mestre Ivamar, friend of Pedro and co-star of Mariana in the telenovela “Amor Perfeito”.
Mestre Ivamar is known for bringing the culture of Amapa to the center-south of Brazil.
"This gift is a memory of the Quilombo do Curiaú, an almost sacred place in Amapá. It is already very representative to take the Marabaixo box to the studios of Rede Globo, also by the hands of this dear Master, who dominates this centuries-old tradition.
