A Brazilian teamtakes the field this Thursday, 14th November, to face Venezuela, in a match valid for the 11th round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. The match will be held at the Monumental Stadium in Maturín, starting at 6pm (Brasília time). Brazil, under the command of coach Dorival Júnior, tries to continue the good sequence of victories in the previous rounds, seeking to consolidate its position in the direct classification group.
With five wins, four defeats and a draw, the Canarian team currently occupies fourth place in the table, with 16 points. The distance to Argentina, leader of the Qualifiers, is six points, which keeps the team focused on gaining as many points as possible so as not to move away from the first placed. Hopscotch once again has the presence of former Flamengo, Vinicius Júnior, who was injured in the last call-up.
VENEZUELA IN SEARCH OF RECOVERY
Venezuela, in turn, it occupies eighth place in the Qualifiers with 11 points. The team led by Leandro Cufré is not going through a good moment, with a series of negative results in recent matches. The 2-1 defeat to Paraguay, in a comeback, in the previous round, was an example of the difficulty the team has faced, going six games without winning, with four draws and two defeats in that period.
PROBABLE LINEUPS
Coach Leandro Cufré should send Venezuela to the field with the following formation: Romo in goal; Aramburu, Ferraresi, Ramírez and Navarro in defense; Herrera, José Martínez and Cásseres in the middle; and Savarino, Bello and Rondon forming the attack.
Brazil, in turn, should have Ederson in goal; Vanderson, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães and Abner on the defensive line; Bruno Guimarães and Gerson in the middle; and Savinho, Raphinha, Vini Jr and Igor Jesus forming the attack.
WHERE TO WATCH THE GAME
Fans will be able to follow the match live on Globo, SporTV and the Globoplay streaming platform.
The full-back has a yellow card and, if he receives another punishment at the Maracanã, he will be out of the decisive clash in Argentina in the quarterfinals.
