Flamengo and Amazonas face each other this Wednesday (22), at 9:30 pm, at Arena da Amazônia, for the return of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil. While Fla had a week to prepare, as Série A was suspended, the opponent continued the marathon and drew with Paysandu, on Saturday (18). After the game, coach Adilson Batista spoke about physical exhaustion and did not rule out changes to face Fla.
The coach opted to choose a practically starting team to face Paysandu, but the result was just a 1-1 draw at home . The initial planning was to spare athletes, and he admits that the decision could increase problems with wear before Amazonas x Flamengo. On the other hand, he also shows confidence in the options he has in the squad.
“We have thermography, physiology, massage staff, the DM's back office and talking to some of them I would even make changes, but we decided to permanence. We know about wear and tear, it's difficult when we have this streak. Sometimes you talk about casting, spare parts, changes. And you have to keep doing it. It's a characteristic of the squad itself too, it's understanding what it has”, said Adilson Batista.

“We have to think game by game, it's another competition. I asked for the game with Paysandu to be played on Sunday, precisely because of the wear and tear, but we were not accommodated. I knew we would have a lot of wear and tear. It's thinking game by game. Trying to recover them, Monday we started working and we thought about the difficult game for the Copa do Brasil”, he stated in another response.
The only sector in which the coach really managed to rest the starters was the attack, which only had Matheus Serafim in the starting lineup against Paysandu. Sassá, who is recovering from injury, and William Barbio, rested, should return to the starting lineup in the Copa do Brasil. The two are the team's top scorers this season, with seven goals.
It is worth remembering that Flamengo has the advantage of a draw in the game for victory at Maracanã. In other words, Amazonas will have to attack and try to win by at least one goal to take the fight to penalties.

The game will be held on September 19th, at 7pm, at Maracanã. Nação fan members will have priority to purchase through the official website (flamengo.superingresso.com.br).
For the match, all fans who buy tickets online, in any sector of the stadium, will need to use registered facial biometrics to access Maracanã. No other means of access will be permitted for tickets purchased digitally. In addition, fans must have their original documents with photo upon entry.
Access to the stadium's security perimeter will be controlled by a dynamic QR code generated by the application Fla Tickets. Access to the interior of Maracanã will be done through facial biometrics.

De la Cruz's injury was light and has a recovery period of two to three weeks. Against Bahia next Thursday, there will be exactly two weeks of treatment. The expectation is that the three will return to training with the ball in the coming days and will be reinstated to the squad at the beginning of next week.
