Refereeing errors have always happened and in the history of world football, several clubs have felt injured by referees. Here in Brazil, it's no different and for this reason, VAR arrived as a kind of "solution" for the mistakes made by the whistleblowers. However, it is unanimous among clubs, coaches, players and managers that the Brazilian VAR is below what is seen in other football centers.

The problem with the Brazilian VAR is one of concept and training, and not of technology, said former referee Renato Marsiglia, participating in De Primeira.

According to Marsiglia, the CBF VAR is guilty of excessive interventionism in the work of the field judge. The former referee explained that the tool was designed to correct factual and indisputable calls, but has been used to "replay" matches.

"What we see is that there [in European football], They interfere much less, but it's not a question of technology, it's much more a question of concept, of training, when you should interfere, when you should support the referee's on-field decision, when you shouldn't enter. in matters that are of interpretation, everything is a matter of concept", said the former referee.

"The issue of VAR is between the chair and the equipment: there is a human hand and here VAR interferes. Too much, it interferes in matters of interpretation. It was not created for that, but for those clear, obvious, unquestionable moves that ethics reject and that even the fan of the injured team agrees with.
