Last Monday (19), an autograph night with Flamengo photographers opened the 1st Photographic Exhibition: Olhares Rubro-Negros, at the Gávea headquarters. The event brought together professionals who work for the club, Gilvan de Souza, Marcelo Cortes and Paula Reis, as well as Adriano Fontes and Thais Magalhães, who are the authors of the clicks displayed. Now, the exhibition will be open to the public until August 27th, at the entrance to Avenida Borges de Medeiros, in front of the Flamengo Museum.

With exciting, artistic and historical images, the exhibition takes the public to a journey through the last years of Mais Querido's achievements, in various forms, as well as moments recorded from an unusual perspective.

“It's a way of, on Photography Day (Monday, the 19th) , honor this group that covers the club's moments and records everything so that future generations can appreciate a little of Flamengo's sporting history. It's impossible not to get emotional remembering the great moments we've experienced over the last few years. So many cool games, images with great shots. Thank you all for coming and my special congratulations to you (photographers). Thanks to you, these moments are recorded forever”, declared president Rodolfo Landim.

In the presence of directors, collaborators, family and friends, Flamengo's photographers were celebrated at a cocktail party and, afterwards, the guests they were able to get autographs from the professionals at the Flamengo Museum, in a catalog that printed on its pages the images selected for the exhibition.

“My congratulations to Paula, Gilvan and Marcelo for the excellent work. These are photos that demarcate moments that are beyond our gaze. You have an artistic eye that sees things that we don't see. It's an honor to work with you. Thank you and congratulations”, said Rodrigo Dunshee, vice-president General and Legal, followed by Desirree Reis, manager of Historical Heritage and one of the organizers and creators of the event.

“Very exciting to be part of a project built by many hands, I feel that we are living in a historic moment. I dare say that we are living in a moment where Flamengo is putting forward and debating the art of photography. Photography is a revealed art. It's capturing what is ephemeral and eternal. We all have special thanks to this management and to everyone involved in this fundamental mission of preserving Flamengo's values”, he concluded.

Essential for child development, breast milk is considered by the World Health Organization (WHO) as the “golden food”, giving rise to Golden August, a month to encourage breastfeeding. Thus, to reinforce support for the campaign, Flamengo's Social Responsibility department took, last Tuesday (27), water polo athlete Duda Martins, who is 26 weeks pregnant, and the club's mascots to meet the Maria Amélia Buarque de Holanda Municipal Maternity, a reference in humanized care for pregnant women, in the center of Rio.

As part of the activity program, the athlete received guidance on the breastfeeding process and the importance of breast milk in child development and in building bonds together with other pregnant and postpartum women cared for by the maternity ward.

“Flamengo's presence here today is extremely important because all actions aimed at Agosto Dourado aim to support, promote and increasingly encourage breastfeeding. Encouraging breastfeeding on demand, increasing breastfeeding time allows society to understand the real benefit that human milk has for both babies and mothers”, said Carla Navarrete, coordinator of the Nutrition and Dietetics Service at the Maternity Hospital and president of the Unit's Breastfeeding Committee.

“Visiting the Maria Amélia maternity ward was an incredible experience, I could see that the maternity ward is really very intense. I answered questions, learned and prepared myself a little more, and had contact with other pregnant women. Each of us had different doubts and fears, which were fully welcomed by the team that welcomed us. It was a pleasure to be part of Flamengo's social responsibility action”, said athlete Duda Martins.

Production assistant Josiane Portugal, who is also pregnant and undergoes prenatal care at the maternity ward, added. “Today I learned that only breast milk is enough and no other milk is needed for the child to grow up healthy. I loved Flamengo's presence here today. I'm a Flamengo fan, my family is Flamengo fan and I was very happy to know that Flamengo supports breastfeeding”, she praised.

As part of the proposal to humanize motherhood, the athlete received a beautiful pregnancy painting, which allowed you to understand how your baby is positioned inside your belly.

Flamengo is in a presidential election year and, as a result, campaigns have begun to be publicized. Thus, one more person applied for the election: Delair Dumbrosck, who is part of the group "Nação Sem Fronteiras".

In publicizing the campaign, Delair Dumbrosck spoke about his projects and what he thinks about the growth of sports Olympics. Furthermore, the pre-candidate also showed a sustainable solution for building his own stadium. Finally, the candidate spoke about the alternatives to internationalize the club's brand on the world stage.

DELAIR DUMBROSCK

Delair is an entrepreneur in the market segment real estate. Within Rubro-Negro, the pre-candidate was already president of the club in 2009, when Márcio Braga left the position. Thus, at the head of the management that had Marcos Braz as manager and Adriano Imperador on the team, the candidate for the election won the Brasileirão that year.

CANDIDATES FOR PRESIDENCY OF FLAMENGO

In addition to Delair Dumbrosck, Rodrigo Dunshee, Luiz Eduardo Baptista, Maurício Gomes de Mattos, Pedro Paulo, Wallim Vasconcelos and José Carlos Peruano are also competing for the presidency of Flamengo.

Rodrigo Dunshee gained important support in his candidacy for president of Flamengo. Luciano Bandeira, president of the Rio de Janeiro section of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-RJ), announced his support for the candidate at a lunch in downtown Rio de Janeiro, this Tuesday (17).

Luciano is a member of the Advocacia Rubro-Negra group, made up only of lawyers who are members of the club, and asks the rest of the members to follow the vote for Rodrigo Dunshee. It is worth noting that other members had already declared their support for the current management.

“We want to build this story, help make this story even greater. President Landim, together with Rodrigo, managed to make the dream of land for the Flamengo stadium come true. It is very important that we have this group leading the process. (…) It is a very important election for Flamengo. (…) I ask everyone who has always accompanied me to help me in the campaign to elect Rodrigo Dunshee president”, said Luciano Bandeira in his speech.

It is worth highlighting that six political groups have already declared support for Rodrigo Dunshee to next president of Flamengo. They are: Fla Esportes; Flamengo Raiz; Our Fla; Red-Black Synergy; União Rubro-Negra and Vanguarda Rubro-Negra.

This is in addition to the groups that have part of the members supporting the candidate in the Flamengo elections: Advocacia RN and FLA+.

The Elections in Flamengo

The election to define the next president of Flamengo is scheduled to take place on December 9th, a Monday, at 8am, in Gávea. Maurício Gomes de Mattos and Luiz Eduardo Baptista (Bap) are the main opponents to Rodrigo Dunshee at the moment.

Wallim Vasconcellos, Pedro Paulo and Delair Dumbrosck also announced their candidacy. The tickets need to be registered from September 10th to 30th and it is difficult to gather signatures. It will not be surprising, therefore, if a candidate does not achieve the minimum required.
