O Flamengo, in preparation for the 2025 season, embarks for the United States on a trip planned by the previous administration, led by Rodolfo Landim. The new administration, led by a strategic committee, inherited the commitments already made and sought to adjust the costs of the pre-season in Orlando.
INVESTMENT OF 700 THOUSAND DOLLARS
To make the trip viable, the board of Mengão allocated around 700 thousand dollars, an amount that covers transportation, accommodation and other logistical costs. Initially, the planned budget would be almost double, but adjustments were made to alleviate the financial impact on the club. The cuts included reducing the number of members in the delegation and reducing the duration of the pre-season abroad. The Brazilian football transfer window officially closed on September 2nd , preventing new signings from arriving in the country. However, the closure doesn't prevent players from leaving, as other international markets are still open. One name under consideration is center forward Juninho, who could move to Europe.
The striker, who was already considered a top contender to leave Flamengo this summer, remains in negotiations. According to Fabrício Lopes, who covers the club on social media , Juninho may be close to returning to Qarabag in Azerbaijan.
