One of the first measures taken by Flamengo's new board was to reduce the club's pre-season period in the United States. Why did you shorten it?

What's the schedule?
Flamengo leaves Rio de Janeiro at 0:40 am (Brasília time) this Saturday (11). Arrival in Orlando is scheduled for 11 am (local time). Then, the delegation heads to Gainesville, also in Florida, and finally stops at the hotel at 3:30 pm (local time).
The first training session will be shortly after arriving in Gainesville. Flamengo carries out eight days of training in the United States, one of which, on Monday, will be in two shifts.
The only game will be against São Paulo, on the 19th. The delegation leaves Gainesville on Saturday afternoon. Shortly after the match, the team returns to the hotel and leaves around three hours later to begin the return to Rio de Janeiro. Arrival at Galeão is scheduled for 1:40 pm (Brasília time) on the 20th.
University city
Flamengo chose a university city to prepare. One of the reasons is the isolation that coach Filipe Luís asked to have during this period. Last year, Fla stayed in Orlando and participated in several marketing activities, in addition to having a day at Disney.
The Fla will use the facilities of the Florida Gators, the University of Florida team. The team has won three national championships and eight conference titles in its 112-year history.
The coach wants total immersion of the squad and control over everything that will happen. The idea is to strengthen his ideas, improve the team physically and take advantage of the period to make the players take care of themselves in the most diverse ways. Filipe Luís even wanted a very well-regulated diet for each of them, but the club lost the performance nutritionist who was responsible for this on trips. Changes in the medical department influence this and the club raced against time to redefine the professionals that will go.
Gainesville is nearby 1h40 from Orlando by car. The city doesn't have many attractions and is mainly busy with the University of Florida. The only action scheduled by Flamengo with the FC Series for now is an open training session. The club will hold an activity on the 14th, Tuesday, with free public entry to the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

A vitória foi construída aproveitando falhas defensivas do Pyramids, especialmente em jogadas pelo alto. Léo Pereira abriu o placar de cabeça ainda no primeiro tempo, enquanto Danilo ampliou na etapa final, repetindo o roteiro. Em comum, as duas bolas na rede tiveram Arrascaeta como garçom.
A decisão da Copa Intercontinental entre Flamengo e PSG acontece nesta quarta-feira (17), às 14h (horário de Brasília), em Doha, no Catar. A partida terá transmissão da Globo (TV aberta), SporTV (canal fechado), GE TV (YouTube) e Cazé TV (YouTube).
