One of the first measures taken by Flamengo's new board was to reduce the club's pre-season period in the United States. The delegation embarks to spend nine days on North American soil and the period will include adaptation to the new football department, immersion in Filipe Luís' work and open training.
Why did you shorten it?
The agreement for the pre-season was signed by the old board. The conversations were already old, they cooled down with Tite's departure and heated up again after Filipe Luís' approval. Landim's management was still trying to close another friendly match for the period, but did not move forward in that direction.
The decision to shorten was mainly due to technical evaluation made by the new managers. The high fine and contract would also make the decision to abandon the FC Series more complicated.
Both Managements currently have completely different ideas about Fla's presence outside of Rio de Janeiro. Unlike Landim, Bap and his peers do not want a traveling Flamengo. That's why they canceled the game the team would play on the way back from the USA in Manaus, against Volta Redonda. This will still pay off, as the old management had negotiated this match and Voltaço wanted to sell. There is a proposal from Brasília on the table.

What's the schedule?
Flamengo leaves Rio de Janeiro at 0:40 am (Brasília time) this Saturday (11). Arrival in Orlando is scheduled for 11 am (local time). Then, the delegation heads to Gainesville, also in Florida, and finally stops at the hotel at 3:30 pm (local time).
The first training session will be shortly after arriving in Gainesville. Flamengo carries out eight days of training in the United States, one of which, on Monday, will be in two shifts.
The only game will be against São Paulo, on the 19th. The delegation leaves Gainesville on Saturday afternoon. Shortly after the match, the team returns to the hotel and leaves around three hours later to begin the return to Rio de Janeiro. Arrival at Galeão is scheduled for 1:40 pm (Brasília time) on the 20th.
University city
Flamengo chose a university city to prepare. One of the reasons is the isolation that coach Filipe Luís asked to have during this period. Last year, Fla stayed in Orlando and participated in several marketing activities, in addition to having a day at Disney.
The Fla will use the facilities of the Florida Gators, the University of Florida team. The team has won three national championships and eight conference titles in its 112-year history.
The coach wants total immersion of the squad and control over everything that will happen. The idea is to strengthen his ideas, improve the team physically and take advantage of the period to make the players take care of themselves in the most diverse ways. Filipe Luís even wanted a very well-regulated diet for each of them, but the club lost the performance nutritionist who was responsible for this on trips. Changes in the medical department influence this and the club raced against time to redefine the professionals that will go.
Gainesville is nearby 1h40 from Orlando by car. The city doesn't have many attractions and is mainly busy with the University of Florida. The only action scheduled by Flamengo with the FC Series for now is an open training session. The club will hold an activity on the 14th, Tuesday, with free public entry to the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

A partida, marcada para quarta-feira (3), pode confirmar o eneacampeonato nacional do Rubro-Negro e será conduzida por Rodrigo José Pereira de Lima, árbitro que já acumula polêmicas ao longo da temporada.
Rodrigo Pereira de Lima já esteve à frente de quatro partidas do Flamengo no campeonato. Ele apitou o empate em 1 a 1 com o próprio Ceará, a vitória por 3 a 1 sobre o Internacional, além da derrota por 1 a 0 para o Bahia e do empate em 2 a 2 com o São Paulo.
As recentes atuações do árbitro repercutiram entre torcedores rubro-negros, especialmente após expulsões de Danilo, Wallace Yan e Gonzalo Plata nos duelos contra Bahia e São Paulo. Em 2025, o pernambucano soma 27 jogos apitados na Série A, além de presenças nas Séries B, C e D, Copa do Brasil, estaduais e Copa do Nordeste.

Após o inédito tetracampeonato de um brasileiro na Libertadores, Saúl Ñíguez comemorou nas redes sociais sua primeira conquista com o Mais Querido. O meia espanhol, recém-chegado ao clube, publicou assim que o apito final soou no Monumental de Lima. “Meu primeiro título com o Flamengo foi nada mais, nada menos que uma Libertadores. Absurdo”, escreveu o jogador no X (ex-Twitter), acompanhado de uma foto segurando a taça da Glória Eterna.
Ativo nas redes desde que desembarcou no Rio, Saúl voltou a movimentar seu perfil após o título. Ele até compartilhou a brincadeira que tomou conta da torcida: a sugestão para que o clube alterasse o nome oficial das redes para “Fl4mengo”, em referência às quatro Libertadores conquistadas.
Na decisão contra o Palmeiras, Saúl começou no banco e não foi utilizado por Filipe Luís. O espanhol participou de quatro partidas ao longo da campanha, mas perdeu espaço no time titular após o retorno de Erick Pulgar, que é fundamental para o esquema do treinador.
