On the afternoon of last Sunday (21), Flamengo faced Corinthians, in a match valid for the seventh round of the Brazilian Championship, at Maracanã. It is important to highlight that Léo Pereira felt discomfort in his right thigh in the final stretch of the match and signaled it to the technical committee. The player ended up falling to the pitch, but as Sampaoli had already run out of stops to make substitutions, it was not possible to remove the defender. With that, the coach ordered the athlete to act as a center forward. Minutes later, to the joy of the Argentine coach, the defender and the Nation, the red and black goal came along with the victory.

Flamengo, this time, focuses in the Copa Libertadores da América dispute. Next Wednesday (24), Mais Querido will face Ñublense (CHI), starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in a game valid for the fourth round of the group stage of the continental tournament. The match will take place at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción, in Chile.

A entidade jurídica desportiva determinou que o meio-campista Jorge Carrascal cumprirá uma suspensão automática de três partidas oficiais.
A punição retira uma das opções de armação do elenco carioca das próximas rodadas programadas para o campeonato nacional. A expulsão do atleta colombiano aconteceu ainda na etapa inicial do confronto realizado no último fim de semana pelo torneio nacional.
Aos 20 minutos de jogo, o jogador atingiu diretamente a região do rosto do zagueiro palmeirense Murilo ao realizar uma disputa de bola com o pé excessivamente elevado. O árbitro da partida aplicou o cartão vermelho direto de forma imediata, gerando intensas reclamações nos bastidores da comissão técnica carioca.
A pauta de julgamentos do tribunal também englobou o comportamento de outros integrantes do departamento de futebol e incidentes ocorridos nas áreas técnicas. O órgão jurídico decidiu absolver o técnico português Leonardo Jardim, que havia sido denunciado por conta de pronunciamentos públicos e críticas direcionadas à atuação da arbitragem. A diretoria jurídica da Gávea avaliará se entrará com um recurso para tentar reduzir o montante da sanção imposta pela entidade.
