The team led by Jorge Sampaoli, however, performed below expectations and, despite having suffered pressure from their rival, scored the winning goal in the last minutes. With that, the coach ordered the athlete to act as a center forward. Minutes later, to the joy of the Argentine coach, the defender and the Nation, the red and black goal came along with the victory.

Flamengo, this time, focuses in the Copa Libertadores da América dispute. Next Wednesday (24), Mais Querido will face Ñublense (CHI), starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in a game valid for the fourth round of the group stage of the continental tournament. The match will take place at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción, in Chile.

Com a troca de comando técnico, o Flamengo manteve os mesmos níveis de investimento na comissão técnica. O novo treinador, Leonardo Jardim, terá salário similar ao do antecessor Filipe Luís. O gasto anual estimado com o português e sua equipe é de aproximadamente 4 milhões de euros líquidos (cerca de R$ 24 milhões), o que equivale a R$ 2 milhões por mês, já livre de impostos. A informação é do jornalista Rodrigo Mattos.
No entanto, o clube arca com despesas adicionais, incluindo os tributos sobre os salários e a multa rescisória de Filipe Luís, que gira entre 1 e 1,5 milhão de euros (R$ 6 a 8 milhões). Para efeito de comparação, o ex-técnico Jorge Jesus recebia 3,5 milhões de euros líquidos em seu primeiro contrato, valor que foi reajustado antes de sua saída para o Benfica.
O regime de gestão do futebol rubro-negro permanece o mesmo em relação às responsabilidades do técnico. Assim como Filipe Luís, Leonardo Jardim terá a tarefa de preparar o time tecnicamente e gerenciar o grupo, podendo também indicar jogadores que serão avaliados pela diretoria.
Durante o comando de Filipe, o treinador tinha influência nas contratações, sendo decisivo na chegada de atletas como Samuel Lino e Lucas Paquetá, mas não possuía a palavra final, situação que se mantém com Jardim.
Leonardo Jardim foi oficialmente apresentado nesta quinta-feira no Ninho do Urubu. Segundo o treinador, não haverá mudanças radicais no trabalho da equipe do Flamengo, apenas adaptações baseadas em suas ideias, por entender que a equipe já está em um bom caminho.
“O treinador tem suas ideias, mas a principal virtude é rentabilizar seus ativos. Tive trabalhos com jogadores de transição, mas preciso aproveitar as características dos jogadores. Aqui tenho jogadores de posse, mas também jogadores agressivos. O jogo de futebol não é só uma característica. Não vamos alterar neste momento porque já temos algo formado”, explicou Jardim, destacando a continuidade do projeto iniciado pelo antecessor.

Nem mesmo a chegada de Leonardo Jardim trouxe tranquilidade completa aos bastidores do Flamengo. O foco das discussões internas agora está na situação de José Boto, diretor de futebol do clube, que vive momento de indefinição no cargo.
De acordo a ESPN, a tendência é que José Boto seja mesmo desligado da função. O presidente Luiz Eduardo Baptista esteve no Ninho do Urubu pelo terceiro dia consecutivo nesta sexta-feira (6) e conversou diretamente com o dirigente sobre a saída. A intenção da diretoria é conduzir o processo de forma tranquila, sem conflitos, abrindo espaço para a chegada de um novo responsável pelo departamento de futebol.
Segundo a reportagem, Boto não demonstrou resistência à decisão e compreendeu o cenário. Inclusive, o dirigente português deve colaborar no início do trabalho de Leonardo Jardim até que o clube finalize a escolha de um substituto.
Nos bastidores, o principal candidato para assumir a função é Edu Gaspar, atualmente ligado ao Nottingham Forest. Assim como ocorreu nas negociações que resultaram na contratação de Leonardo Jardim para substituir Filipe Luís, Bap tem conduzido conversas de forma discreta nas últimas semanas. O objetivo é encontrar um nome capaz de reorganizar o departamento no Flamengo e reduzir a crise interna vivida no clube.
Dentro da diretoria rubro-negra, duas possibilidades são discutidas para a nova estrutura do futebol. A primeira envolve a contratação de um diretor com perfil mais próximo do vestiário, considerado “boleiro”. A situação de José Boto no Flamengo segue sob pressão após a demissão de Filipe Luís. Nos bastidores, o clube já iniciou movimentos para avaliar possíveis substitutos, incluindo o contato com Edu Gaspar, atualmente dirigente do Nottingham Forest. No entanto, caso a diretoria decida pela saída imediata do português, o clube terá que arcar com um custo considerável.

Por outro lado, caso opte por pedir demissão futuramente, Boto poderia preservar sua imagem no mercado e facilitar uma recolocação em outro clube. Nesse cenário, o Flamengo também evitaria o pagamento da multa rescisória prevista em contrato.
