On the afternoon of last Sunday (21), Flamengo faced Corinthians, in a match valid for the seventh round of the Brazilian Championship, at Maracanã. The team led by Jorge Sampaoli, however, performed below expectations and, despite having suffered pressure from their rival, scored the winning goal in the last minutes. An unlikely hero, Léo Pereira, who had complained of discomfort in his left thigh, was responsible for giving Clube da Gávea a 1-0 victory.THE MATCH
The Mais Querido started the match with possession of the ball. It is important to highlight that Léo Pereira felt discomfort in his right thigh in the final stretch of the match and signaled it to the technical committee. The player ended up falling to the pitch, but as Sampaoli had already run out of stops to make substitutions, it was not possible to remove the defender. With that, the coach ordered the athlete to act as a center forward. Minutes later, to the joy of the Argentine coach, the defender and the Nation, the red and black goal came along with the victory.

Flamengo, this time, focuses in the Copa Libertadores da América dispute. Next Wednesday (24), Mais Querido will face Ñublense (CHI), starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in a game valid for the fourth round of the group stage of the continental tournament. The match will take place at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción, in Chile.

Após a dolorosa derrota nos pênaltis para o Paris Saint-Germain na decisão da Copa Intercontinental, o meio-campista Arrascaeta concedeu entrevista na zona mista do Estádio Ahmad Bin Ali. O ídolo uruguaio, peça central na engrenagem do time comandado por Filipe Luís, não escondeu o orgulho pela temporada histórica realizada pelo Flamengo, mas foi sincero ao analisar os fatores que impediram a conquista do bicampeonato mundial no Catar.
Para o jogador, a questão física pesou contra os brasileiros nos momentos decisivos. Arrascaeta fez questão de exaltar a campanha rubro-negra e a competitividade demonstrada diante de uma das potências financeiras do futebol europeu. O jogador reconheceu a qualidade técnica superior do adversário, mas identificou o cansaço acumulado como o fiel da balança.
"Fizemos uma campanha incrível, chegamos na final, competimos contra uma das melhores equipes do mundo. São tecnicamente melhores que nós, sabíamos disso", avaliou o camisa 10. Segundo ele, o desgaste da maratona de jogos foi determinante: "Fisicamente também estamos um pouco desgastados. Acredito que foi isso o diferencial, faltou um pouco no final do jogo para buscar a virada. Mas não tem o que reclamar, quem entrou deu o seu melhor."
Sobre a dinâmica da partida, o uruguaio detalhou a mudança de comportamento da equipe após o intervalo. O Flamengo, que sofreu no primeiro tempo, conseguiu equilibrar as ações na etapa complementar. Foi de Arrascaeta a jogada individual que resultou no pênalti sofrido e posteriormente convertido por Jorginho.
"A gente tentou encaixar melhor a marcação, mas ainda é uma equipe que movimenta muito. No segundo tempo fomos bem melhor, no primeiro tivemos dificuldade", explicou. Mesmo com a reação, ele reiterou que a exaustão impediu uma pressão maior no fim: "Conseguimos o empate e acredito que faltou um pouquinho de perna para tentar a virada."

Flamengo encerrou o sonho do bicampeonato mundial nesta quarta-feira (17) ao ser superado pelo Paris Saint-Germain nos pênaltis, após empate em 1 a 1 no tempo regulamentar e na prorrogação. Logo após o apito final em Doha, o volante Jorginho, um dos destaques da equipe carioca na partida, concedeu entrevista e apontou o cansaço extremo como o principal adversário do Rubro-Negro nos momentos decisivos da final.
Autor do gol de pênalti que garantiu a igualdade no placar aos 16 minutos do segundo tempo, Jorginho analisou a performance coletiva. Para o camisa 5, a entrega do time foi total, mas o desgaste acumulado ao longo dos 120 minutos pesou na hora das cobranças alternadas.
"Pode ter sido um reflexo disso também [cansaço]. Você chega depois de ter corrido tanto. O time entregou muito, tanto que eu falei para os meninos que era hora de tentar recuperar o máximo de energia possível. A disputa de pênaltis foi marcada por tensão e erros técnicos. O goleiro Rossi chegou a manter o Flamengo vivo ao defender duas cobranças dos franceses. No entanto, o aproveitamento dos batedores do time de Filipe Luís foi abaixo da crítica. Saúl, Pedro, Léo Pereira e Luiz Araújo desperdiçaram suas oportunidades, permitindo que a equipe de Luis Enrique conquistasse o título inédito do Mundial.

O Flamengo encerrou sua participação na Copa Intercontinental com o vice-campeonato após ser superado pelo Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) na disputa de pênaltis, nesta quarta-feira (17). Apesar da frustração esportiva por não conquistar o bicampeonato mundial, o resultado garantiu um aporte financeiro significativo para o clube.
A segunda colocação no torneio realizado no Catar rendeu aos cofres da Gávea a quantia de 4 milhões de dólares, o que corresponde a aproximadamente R$ 22 milhões na cotação atual. O título ficou com o clube francês, que, além da taça inédita, levou para casa o prêmio máximo de 5 milhões de dólares (cerca de R$ 27,5 milhões).
A campanha do time comandado por Filipe Luís até a final foi financeiramente recompensadora. O Rubro-Negro iniciou sua trajetória vencendo o Cruz Azul (MEX) por 2 a 1, com brilho de Arrascaeta, e garantiu vaga na decisão ao bater o Pyramids por 2 a 0, com gols de Léo Pereira e Danilo.
Com o encerramento do calendário, o Flamengo contabiliza um ano histórico também no aspecto financeiro. Somando o valor recebido pelo vice na Copa Intercontinental, o clube atingiu a marca de R$ 444,3 milhões arrecadados apenas com premiações na temporada de 2025.
A maior fatia desse montante veio da conquista do tetracampeonato da Libertadores, que injetou R$ 178,8 milhões no orçamento. Outro destaque foi a participação no Mundial de Clubes (formato anterior/expandido), que rendeu R$ 150,6 milhões.
