On the afternoon of last Sunday (21), Flamengo faced Corinthians, in a match valid for the seventh round of the Brazilian Championship, at Maracanã. The team led by Jorge Sampaoli, however, performed below expectations and, despite having suffered pressure from their rival, scored the winning goal in the last minutes. An unlikely hero, Léo Pereira, who had complained of discomfort in his left thigh, was responsible for giving Clube da Gávea a 1-0 victory.THE MATCH
The Mais Querido started the match with possession of the ball. It is important to highlight that Léo Pereira felt discomfort in his right thigh in the final stretch of the match and signaled it to the technical committee. The player ended up falling to the pitch, but as Sampaoli had already run out of stops to make substitutions, it was not possible to remove the defender. With that, the coach ordered the athlete to act as a center forward. Minutes later, to the joy of the Argentine coach, the defender and the Nation, the red and black goal came along with the victory.

Flamengo, this time, focuses in the Copa Libertadores da América dispute. Next Wednesday (24), Mais Querido will face Ñublense (CHI), starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in a game valid for the fourth round of the group stage of the continental tournament. The match will take place at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción, in Chile.

A renovação de contrato de Filipe Luís com o Flamengo caminha para uma definição. Vivendo um momento de retomada no Flamengo, Emerson Royal abriu o jogo sobre sua saída conturbada do futebol europeu. Em entrevista ao jornal italiano Gazzetta dello Sport, o lateral afirmou que sua decisão de voltar ao Brasil foi motivada pela busca por felicidade e bem-estar — e admitiu que, sinceramente, “não sente falta da Itália”.

Ao ser questionado se sente nostalgia de sua vida em Milão, o lateral foi categórico. Segundo ele, a perseguição da imprensa local tornou o ambiente insustentável, comparando a atenção negativa que recebia à cobertura destinada a astros mundiais.
“Não, sinceramente não [sinto falta]. É um país lindo, o Milan é um clube top, mas não terei aquela sensação de nostalgia. Sinto falta da Espanha, onde fui muito feliz no Betis, e também da Inglaterra. Da Itália, não”, afirmou.
Emerson ainda revelou como enfrentou críticas constantes: “Desde a minha chegada, cada vez que eu dizia ou fazia algo, falavam mais de mim do que do Cristiano Ronaldo… mas de forma negativa. Sentia que precisava fazer o dobro para ser aceito e, mesmo assim, não era.”
O retorno ao Brasil também teve relação direta com a visibilidade que o Flamengo proporciona, especialmente para quem busca espaço na Seleção. Segundo o lateral, houve propostas de Inglaterra, Turquia e Espanha, mas o projeto rubro-negro falou mais alto.

A Conmebol confirmou Darío Humberto Herrera como árbitro principal da final da Libertadores entre Flamengo e Palmeiras. A decisão, marcada para 29 de novembro, às 18h, em Lima, no Peru, definirá qual clube se tornará o primeiro tetracampeão brasileiro da história do torneio.
Herrera estará à frente de uma equipe composta quase integralmente por compatriotas. Cristian Gonzalo Navarro e José Miguel Savorani serão os auxiliares de linha, enquanto Maximiliano Nicolás Ramírez atuará como quarto árbitro. No comando do VAR, estará Héctor Alberto Paletta, também da Argentina.
O árbitro argentino já dirigiu três partidas do Flamengo na carreira, incluindo um duelo nesta própria edição da Libertadores: a vitória por 1 a 0 sobre o Internacional, na ida das oitavas de final. Também esteve em Millonarios x Flamengo (2024) e Olimpia x Flamengo (2023).
Pelo lado palmeirense, Herrera apitou o triunfo sobre o Sporting Cristal em 2025, além das vitórias diante do Deportivo Táchira em 2023 e do Delfín em 2020. Vale ressaltar que nenhum árbitro brasileiro poderia apitar o confronto de acordo com as regras da Conmebol.
