With that, the coach ordered the athlete to act as a center forward. Minutes later, to the joy of the Argentine coach, the defender and the Nation, the red and black goal came along with the victory.

Flamengo, this time, focuses in the Copa Libertadores da América dispute. Next Wednesday (24), Mais Querido will face Ñublense (CHI), starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in a game valid for the fourth round of the group stage of the continental tournament. The match will take place at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción, in Chile.

A logística do Flamengo para a estreia na Libertadores, diante do Cusco FC, ganhou um elemento inesperado nos bastidores do Ninho do Urubu. O que inicialmente parecia um desfalque certo pode se transformar em reforço importante para o técnico Leonardo Jardim.
O clube decidiu levar Nicolás De La Cruz para a partida em Cusco. A mudança de cenário está diretamente ligada à estrutura do hotel escolhido pela delegação, que conta com quartos pressurizados, fator que pode minimizar os efeitos da altitude e permitir a utilização do jogador.
A principal preocupação da comissão técnica sempre foi o histórico físico de De La Cruz, especialmente em condições extremas. O uruguaio costuma ser preservado em jogos com altitude elevada ou em gramados sintéticos, justamente para evitar desgaste excessivo e possíveis lesões.
No entanto, um detalhe logístico abriu nova possibilidade. O hotel onde a delegação ficará hospedada possui um sistema de pressurização que simula condições mais próximas ao nível do mar. Flamengo oficializou, nesta terça-feira (07), a relação de jogadores que embarcam para o Peru visando a abertura da fase de grupos da Conmebol Libertadores 2026. O Rubro-Negro encara o Cusco FC nesta quarta-feira (08), às 21h30 (horário de Brasília), em duelo válido pela primeira rodada do Grupo A.
A divulgação da lista ocorreu momentos antes do embarque da delegação, que inicia a trajetória continental em busca do seu quinto título na história da competição. Mesmo com a presença de peças fundamentais como Arrascaeta, Pedro e De La Cruz, a comissão técnica precisou realizar ajustes devido a uma série de baixas médicas que limitam as opções táticas para o confronto na altitude peruana.
