On the afternoon of last Sunday (21), Flamengo faced Corinthians, in a match valid for the seventh round of the Brazilian Championship, at Maracanã. The team led by Jorge Sampaoli, however, performed below expectations and, despite having suffered pressure from their rival, scored the winning goal in the last minutes. An unlikely hero, Léo Pereira, who had complained of discomfort in his left thigh, was responsible for giving Clube da Gávea a 1-0 victory.THE MATCH
The Mais Querido started the match with possession of the ball. It is important to highlight that Léo Pereira felt discomfort in his right thigh in the final stretch of the match and signaled it to the technical committee. The player ended up falling to the pitch, but as Sampaoli had already run out of stops to make substitutions, it was not possible to remove the defender. With that, the coach ordered the athlete to act as a center forward. Minutes later, to the joy of the Argentine coach, the defender and the Nation, the red and black goal came along with the victory.

Flamengo, this time, focuses in the Copa Libertadores da América dispute. Next Wednesday (24), Mais Querido will face Ñublense (CHI), starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in a game valid for the fourth round of the group stage of the continental tournament. The match will take place at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción, in Chile.

Al-Hilal confirmou mais um reforço para a sua defesa neste domingo (11). O clube da Arábia Saudita anunciou oficialmente a contratação do zagueiro espanhol Pablo Marí. Aos 32 anos, o jogador, que marcou época no futebol brasileiro defendendo o Flamengo, estava atuando pela Fiorentina, na Itália.
A transferência movimenta o mercado internacional e coloca o atleta novamente em evidência em um centro financeiro forte, após uma passagem recente complicada pela Série A italiana, onde sua antiga equipe luta contra a zona de rebaixamento.
Segundo apuração do jornalista especializado em transferências Fabrizio Romano, o acordo foi selado por cerca de 2 milhões de euros (aproximadamente R$ 12,50 milhões na cotação atual). O contrato assinado possui um formato curto: o vínculo inicial é válido por apenas seis meses. No entanto, existe uma cláusula que permite a renovação automática por mais 12 meses, dependendo do desempenho e do interesse mútuo.
Na Fiorentina, Marí vinha sendo utilizado com frequência, somando 16 partidas na temporada atual e 13 na anterior (2024/25). Apesar da tradição do clube de Florença, a equipe atravessa um momento delicado, ocupando as últimas posições do Campeonato Italiano com apenas 18 pontos, cenário que facilitou a saída do defensor.
A chegada de Pablo Marí ao Al-Hilal reaviva a memória dos torcedores do Flamengo. O espanhol foi peça-chave na histórica temporada de 2019. Contratado junto ao Grupo City por R$ 5,5 milhões como uma aposta desconhecida, ele rapidamente se tornou uma referência técnica sob o comando de Jorge Jesus.

A bola rola oficialmente pela primeira vez na temporada de 2026 neste domingo (11), quando o Flamengo enfrenta a Portuguesa-RJ. A partida, válida pela 5ª rodada do Campeonato Carioca (que foi adiantada), acontece no Estádio Raulino de Oliveira, em Volta Redonda. Para o confronto, o clube confirmou a estratégia de utilizar uma formação alternativa, poupando o elenco principal que segue em pré-temporada específica.
A responsabilidade de defender o Manto Sagrado neste pontapé inicial recai sobre os talentos formados nas categorias de base. Obedecendo ao planejamento do departamento de futebol, a equipe busca iniciar o ano com vitória, apostando na vitalidade e na velocidade dos jovens promissores da Gávea.

Ex-jogador com passagens pelo futebol italiano, português e espanhol, Guilherme Siqueira mantém uma relação antiga e próxima com Filipe Luís, atual técnico do Flamengo. A amizade começou ainda na infância, no futebol de salão, quando ambos tinham apenas 10 anos, e se fortaleceu ao longo da carreira profissional, especialmente na Europa.

Ao UOL, Siqueira destacou que o sucesso de Filipe como treinador não o surpreende. Segundo ele, a trajetória atual é consequência direta de um planejamento construído ainda como atleta. “Vendo o quão vitorioso ele foi dentro do clube, eu que sou amigo dele, é um motivo de orgulho e satisfação, mas não é nenhuma novidade. A gente conhece o Filipe há muito tempo, sabe da competência dele, sabe o quanto ele quis ser treinador e o quanto já se preparava enquanto atleta para isso”, afirmou.
Mesmo acompanhando à distância, Guilherme Siqueira admitiu que viveu com ansiedade o processo de renovação contratual do amigo no Flamengo. O desfecho positivo, porém, reforçou a convicção de que Filipe Luís ainda tem caminhos ambiciosos pela frente: “Estou muito otimista e curioso para ver até onde isso vai chegar, porque o Filipe vem demonstrando há muito tempo que não se acomoda, não se contenta com as coisas e quer sempre algo a mais”, analisou.
Para Siqueira, um retorno ao futebol europeu é um movimento quase inevitável no futuro. O ex-lateral vê Filipe Luís como um nome com perfil ideal para assumir o comando do Atlético de Madrid quando Diego Simeone encerrar seu ciclo no clube espanhol.
“É engraçado: o Filipe renovou até 2027 e o Simeone também. Parece algo casado. O clube que realmente deu tudo ao Filipe foi o Atlético. Se um dia ele tiver a Europa para escolher e aparecer o Atlético, não tenho dúvida de que o coração vai falar mais alto”, afirmou. Segundo Guilherme, essa possível trajetória teria o mesmo peso simbólico da atual passagem pelo clube carioca, com potencial para se tornar mais um capítulo marcante na carreira do treinador.
