With that, the coach ordered the athlete to act as a center forward. Minutes later, to the joy of the Argentine coach, the defender and the Nation, the red and black goal came along with the victory.

Flamengo, this time, focuses in the Copa Libertadores da América dispute. Next Wednesday (24), Mais Querido will face Ñublense (CHI), starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in a game valid for the fourth round of the group stage of the continental tournament. The match will take place at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción, in Chile.

O Votoraty Futebol Clube oficializou seu retorno às competições oficiais após um hiato de 16 anos. A equipe de Votorantim confirmou participação na quinta divisão do Campeonato Paulista de 2026, popularmente conhecida como "Bezinha". Para marcar este novo capítulo institucional, a diretoria movimentou o mercado da bola e anunciou a contratação do atacante Geuvânio, atleta com passagens marcantes por grandes clubes do futebol brasileiro e do exterior.
Aos 34 anos, o jogador chega como a principal referência técnica do elenco. No entanto, o condicionamento físico do reforço é um ponto de atenção, uma vez que Geuvânio não atua profissionalmente há 406 dias. Seu último compromisso oficial ocorreu em março de 2025, quando defendia o Oeste na derrota por 3 a 0 diante do Capivariano, em partida válida pela Série A2 do Paulistão.
No período em que esteve sem clube profissional, Geuvânio buscou manter-se em atividade e tentou ingressar na Kings League, torneio de futebol de sete que mescla esporte e entretenimento. Contudo, o atacante não foi selecionado por nenhuma das equipes participantes da competição, permanecendo fora do certame. Após a goleada sofrida por 4 a 1 para o Flamengo na última quinta-feira (16), o técnico do Independiente Medellín, Alejandro Restrepo, avaliou o desempenho de sua equipe em solo brasileiro. O comandante atribuiu o resultado negativo à dificuldade de sua estrutura tática em suportar o volume ofensivo imposto pelo clube carioca, que contou com gols de Lucas Paquetá, Bruno Henrique, Arrascaeta e Pedro.
Com o revés, os colombianos seguem com apenas um ponto, enquanto o time de Leonardo Jardim disparou na liderança isolada do Grupo A da Conmebol Libertadores. Apesar da disparidade no placar, Restrepo demonstrou confiança na recuperação de seu elenco. O treinador reconheceu abertamente que enfrentou um dos adversários mais qualificados de todo o continente sul-americano.
Em sua análise pós-jogo, Alejandro Restrepo foi direto ao apontar as deficiências que impediram um resultado mais equilibrado. “Jogamos contra um grande time, um dos melhores da América do Sul. Foi o jogo mais difícil que disputamos este ano, pela intensidade e pela qualidade do adversário. O Flamengo tem jogadores que já atuaram em ligas muito importantes do mundo”, disse o treinador.
