On the afternoon of last Sunday (21), Flamengo faced Corinthians, in a match valid for the seventh round of the Brazilian Championship, at Maracanã. The team led by Jorge Sampaoli, however, performed below expectations and, despite having suffered pressure from their rival, scored the winning goal in the last minutes. It is important to highlight that Léo Pereira felt discomfort in his right thigh in the final stretch of the match and signaled it to the technical committee. The player ended up falling to the pitch, but as Sampaoli had already run out of stops to make substitutions, it was not possible to remove the defender. With that, the coach ordered the athlete to act as a center forward. Minutes later, to the joy of the Argentine coach, the defender and the Nation, the red and black goal came along with the victory.

Flamengo, this time, focuses in the Copa Libertadores da América dispute. Next Wednesday (24), Mais Querido will face Ñublense (CHI), starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in a game valid for the fourth round of the group stage of the continental tournament. The match will take place at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción, in Chile.

O revés na decisão da Recopa Sul-Americana trouxe à tona não apenas a frustração pelo título perdido, mas também revelações sobre o futuro do elenco rubro-negro. Na madrugada desta sexta-feira, logo após o vice-campeonato para o Lanús, o atacante Everton Cebolinha surpreendeu ao adotar um tom de despedida. Com vínculo se encerrando em dezembro deste ano, o jogador deixou claro que enxerga 2026 como o capítulo final de sua trajetória na Gávea.
A indefinição sobre o seu futuro não é uma novidade absoluta. No final de 2025, o atleta já havia vivenciado um período de incertezas. Suas boas atuações na reta final daquela temporada chegaram a aquecer o mercado da bola, porém, nenhuma tratativa de transferência foi concretizada, mantendo-o no Rio de Janeiro para o atual calendário.
Apesar de ser uma peça frequentemente utilizada, a ausência de movimentações por parte da cúpula de futebol do Flamengo em relação ao seu contrato foi o fator determinante para a declaração do atleta. Questionado sobre a possibilidade de estender seu vínculo, o camisa 11 foi direto e transparente sobre a atual situação nos bastidores.

Flamengo não conseguiu conquistar o primeiro título da temporada e amargou o vice-campeonato da Recopa Sul-Americana na noite desta quinta-feira. Diante de um Maracanã lotado, a equipe comandada por Filipe Luís, que completava 100 jogos à beira do gramado, lutou até os minutos finais da prorrogação, mas perdeu de 3 a 2 para o Lanús.
Como haviam vencido o jogo de ida por 1 a 0 na Argentina, os visitantes garantiram o título continental no placar agregado. O roteiro do confronto foi marcado por falhas individuais, momentos de intensa pressão rubro-negra e um desfecho dramático sob forte chuva no Rio de Janeiro.
O início da partida trouxe um balde de água fria para os torcedores cariocas. Aos 28 minutos do primeiro tempo, uma desatenção na saída de bola custou caro. Apesar da forte repercussão inicial, as chances de o centroavante vestir a camisa do clube carioca foram prontamente descartadas tanto por fontes próximas ao time quanto pelo próprio atleta. O jogador, que atualmente defende o Arsenal na Inglaterra, vive um momento de transição e foco na Europa, deixando claro que um retorno à América do Sul não faz parte dos seus planos a curto prazo.
Incomodado com a propagação de notícias envolvendo seu futuro, Gabriel Jesus quebrou o silêncio. O atleta refutou categoricamente qualquer contato do Flamengo ou de outras equipes brasileiras.
