On the afternoon of last Sunday (21), Flamengo faced Corinthians, in a match valid for the seventh round of the Brazilian Championship, at Maracanã. The team led by Jorge Sampaoli, however, performed below expectations and, despite having suffered pressure from their rival, scored the winning goal in the last minutes. An unlikely hero, Léo Pereira, who had complained of discomfort in his left thigh, was responsible for giving Clube da Gávea a 1-0 victory.THE MATCH
The Mais Querido started the match with possession of the ball. In the 13th minute of the first half, Ayrton Lucas received the ball quickly on the right wing, tried to cross, but was blocked by Bruno Mendez, giving Rubro-Negro a corner. Everton Cebolinha received the ball from Gerson on the left wing, marked by Ángel Romero, the attacker took it to his right leg and crossed to the defender, who, injured, headed it into the back of the net, guaranteeing the red and black victory.
It is important to highlight that Léo Pereira felt discomfort in his right thigh in the final stretch of the match and signaled it to the technical committee. The player ended up falling to the pitch, but as Sampaoli had already run out of stops to make substitutions, it was not possible to remove the defender. With that, the coach ordered the athlete to act as a center forward. Minutes later, to the joy of the Argentine coach, the defender and the Nation, the red and black goal came along with the victory.

Flamengo, this time, focuses in the Copa Libertadores da América dispute. Next Wednesday (24), Mais Querido will face Ñublense (CHI), starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in a game valid for the fourth round of the group stage of the continental tournament. The match will take place at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción, in Chile.

O Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva marcou para quinta-feira (28) o julgamento envolvendo integrantes do Flamengo após os acontecimentos da partida contra o Palmeiras, pelo Campeonato Brasileiro. A audiência acontecerá às 10h (horário de Brasília), no Rio de Janeiro.
O meia Jorge Carrascal será julgado pela expulsão recebida diante do Palmeiras. O jogador corre risco de pegar mais partidas de suspensão além da automática já cumprida. Quem também estará no julgamento é o técnico Leonardo Jardim. O treinador foi denunciado após as críticas feitas à arbitragem na coletiva pós-jogo. A tendência é que ambos possam receber punições entre um e seis jogos de suspensão, dependendo da decisão do STJD.
Outro nome envolvido no processo é o de Fernando Munhoz. Segundo a denúncia, o massagista do Flamengo teria ameaçado o árbitro da partida durante o intervalo do confronto no Maracanã. A frase registrada foi: “Você não sai daqui vivo.” O caso também será analisado pelo tribunal durante a sessão desta quinta-feira.
Além das denúncias individuais, o próprio Flamengo responderá no STJD pelos objetos arremessados em direção à delegação palmeirense após o gol marcado por Paulinho. O clube rubro-negro pode ser penalizado financeiramente e corre risco de receber multa de até R$ 100 mil.
Do lado do Palmeiras, o atacante Paulinho também foi denunciado pelo STJD. O jogador responderá com base no artigo 258-A do Código Brasileiro de Justiça Desportiva, que prevê punição de dois a seis jogos de suspensão. A denúncia aconteceu por conta de um gesto provocativo feito pelo atleta em direção à torcida organizada do Palmeiras durante a comemoração da partida.

A pausa para a Copa do Mundo será vista internamente no Flamengo como uma oportunidade estratégica tanto para Leonardo Jardim quanto para a diretoria rubro-negra. Sem ter realizado uma pré-temporada completa desde a chegada ao clube, o treinador português terá um período maior para ajustar ideias, recuperar jogadores e observar o elenco com mais profundidade.
O objetivo principal é claro: rejuvenescer o elenco. Internamente, existe a avaliação de que a média de idade elevada do grupo exige cuidados constantes ao longo da temporada. Por isso, o treinador vem utilizando uma estratégia de rodízio frequente para preservar fisicamente os jogadores e manter intensidade nas partidas. A ideia do clube é ampliar as opções disponíveis para que esse modelo funcione de forma ainda mais eficiente no segundo semestre.
O Flamengo já definiu características consideradas fundamentais para futuras contratações. Entre os pontos mais valorizados estão: Qualidade técnica velocidade e condição física e resistência. Além disso, a diretoria estabeleceu uma faixa etária prioritária para o mercado: jogadores de até 26 anos. O entendimento é de que atletas mais jovens podem entregar retorno técnico imediato e, futuramente, gerar lucro em vendas.
A lateral-esquerda ainda é vista como necessária de reforços. Mesmo com a recente renovação de Alex Sandro, o clube segue atento ao mercado. O jogador tem 35 anos e está em reta final de carreira, o que faz a diretoria buscar uma solução de médio e longo prazo para a posição.
O meio-campo também preocupa pela questão física e etária. Atualmente, apenas Evertton Araújo, de 23 anos, e Nicolás De La Cruz, de 28, têm menos de 30 anos entre os principais nomes do setor. Além disso, De La Cruz convive com problemas físicos e não consegue manter sequência frequente de jogos.
Outro foco da diretoria é encontrar um atacante para disputar posição com Pedro. O clube entende que precisa aumentar a competitividade ofensiva e ganhar alternativas para diferentes contextos de jogo, além de elevar o desempenho em chances claras.
Além das contratações, o Flamengo também pretende ampliar a utilização de jogadores formados nas categorias de base. Leonardo Jardim deseja aproveitar a intertemporada para observar jovens talentos do clube mais de perto, buscando integrar novas peças ao elenco profissional e aumentar as opções internas para a sequência da temporada.

O Flamengo venceu o Cusco (PER) por 3 a 0, na última terça-feira (26), pela sexta e última rodada da fase de grupos da Libertadores. Após a partida no Maracanã, o clube rubro-negro confirmou a liberação dos jogadores convocados para a disputa da Copa do Mundo de 2026.
Na manhã desta quarta-feira (27), os primeiros atletas do Flamengo chegaram à Granja Comary, em Teresópolis, para iniciar os trabalhos com a Seleção Brasileira. Os zagueiros Danilo e Léo Pereira foram os primeiros a se apresentar. Posteriormente, Alex Sandro e Lucas Paquetá também chegaram ao centro de treinamento da Seleção.
O técnico Carlo Ancelotti convocou os quatro jogadores rubro-negros para representar o Brasil no Mundial. Além deles, o jovem goleiro Léo Nanetti foi chamado para participar do período de treinamentos da equipe nacional.
Além dos brasileiros, o Flamengo também teve atletas chamados por outras seleções sul-americanas. O meia Giorgian De Arrascaeta já havia sido liberado anteriormente para seguir tratamento da cirurgia na clavícula junto à seleção do Uruguai. O técnico Marcelo Bielsa também convocou Guillermo Varela e Nicolás De La Cruz para a Copa do Mundo. Além disso, Gonzalo Plata foi chamado pelo Equador, enquanto Jorge Carrascal defenderá a Colômbia no torneio.
Com todas as liberações confirmadas, o Flamengo terá dez desfalques para o próximo compromisso pelo Campeonato Brasileiro. O Rubro-Negro enfrenta o Coritiba neste sábado (30), pela 18ª rodada da competição, no último jogo antes da pausa para a Copa do Mundo.
Antes da estreia oficial no Mundial, a Seleção Brasileira fará um amistoso preparatório no próximo domingo (31). O adversário será o Seleção do Panamá, em partida marcada para o Maracanã, às 18h30 (horário de Brasília). O confronto terá transmissão da Rede Globo, em TV aberta.
