On the afternoon of last Sunday (21), Flamengo faced Corinthians, in a match valid for the seventh round of the Brazilian Championship, at Maracanã. The team led by Jorge Sampaoli, however, performed below expectations and, despite having suffered pressure from their rival, scored the winning goal in the last minutes. An unlikely hero, Léo Pereira, who had complained of discomfort in his left thigh, was responsible for giving Clube da Gávea a 1-0 victory.THE MATCH

It is important to highlight that Léo Pereira felt discomfort in his right thigh in the final stretch of the match and signaled it to the technical committee. The player ended up falling to the pitch, but as Sampaoli had already run out of stops to make substitutions, it was not possible to remove the defender. With that, the coach ordered the athlete to act as a center forward. Minutes later, to the joy of the Argentine coach, the defender and the Nation, the red and black goal came along with the victory.

Flamengo, this time, focuses in the Copa Libertadores da América dispute. Next Wednesday (24), Mais Querido will face Ñublense (CHI), starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in a game valid for the fourth round of the group stage of the continental tournament. The match will take place at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción, in Chile.

Vítor Pereira está de casa nova no futebol europeu. Conhecido no Brasil por suas passagens recentes por Corinthians e Flamengo, o treinador português chegou a um acordo para assumir o comando do Nottingham Forest, da Inglaterra. Segundo informações apuradas pela ESPN, restam apenas detalhes burocráticos para que o profissional seja anunciado oficialmente pelo clube.
A contratação acontece em um momento crítico para a equipe inglesa. Vítor Pereira chega para ocupar a vaga deixada por Sean Dyche, que foi demitido logo após o empate sem gols, em casa, contra o Wolverhampton, atual lanterna da Premier League.
A missão do português não será simples, visto o cenário de instabilidade no banco de reservas do Nottingham Forest. O Atlético-MG anunciou nesta quinta-feira (12) a saída de Jorge Sampaoli. O treinador argentino, que comandou o Flamengo em 2023, deixa o clube mineiro após oito jogos na temporada 2026, com apenas duas vitórias. O empate por 3 a 3 com o Remo, na quarta-feira (11), foi determinante para o encerramento do ciclo. O resultado aumentou a pressão interna e acelerou a decisão da diretoria.
O comunicado foi divulgado no início da tarde, após reunião na Cidade do Galo. Segundo o clube, houve entendimento entre as partes para a rescisão do contrato: “O Clube agradece a Jorge Sampaoli e sua comissão técnica pelos serviços prestados e deseja sucesso na sequência de sua trajetória profissional”, informou o Atlético-MG em nota oficial.
Para o confronto contra o Itabirito, neste sábado (14), em Nova Lima, pela última rodada do Campeonato Mineiro, o time será comandado pelo auxiliar técnico Lucas Gonçalves. O Atlético-MG ainda precisa de uma combinação de resultados para garantir classificação à próxima fase do Estadual.
A passagem de Sampaoli também teve impacto recente no mercado do clube. O treinador foi um dos fatores que influenciaram a contratação do meia Victor Hugo.
