One of the most memorable moments was in the 2019 Libertadores final, when he scored both goals in the 2-1 victory over River Plate. Three years later, the striker secured another Libertadores title by scoring the only goal in the 1-0 victory against Athletico-PR, in 2022.
Check out the finals in which Gabigol scored for Flamengo:
Libertadores 2019 – two goals
Supercopa do Brasil 2020 – one goal
Recopa Sul-Americana 2020 – one goal
Supercopa do Brasil 2021 – one goal

Supercopa do Brasil 2022 – one goal
Carioca 2022 – one goal
Libertadores 2022 – one goal
Supercopa do Brasil 2023 – two goals

In some finals, such as the 2019 Club World Cup and the 2022 and 2023 Copa do Brasil, Gabigol missed out. At Carioca 2024, the attacker did not participate, as he was suspended.

After being eliminated by Bayern Munich in the round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup, Flamengo is now focusing on the second half of the season and is making moves behind the scenes in the transfer market. The main target is midfielder Jorge Carrascal , from Dynamo Moscow, with whom the club is already in advanced negotiations.
The agreement between the parties is practically closed. Carrascal has even started looking for a place to live and a vehicle in Rio de Janeiro , which indicates confidence in the transfer being completed. Flamengo is expected to pay 11 million euros fixed, with the possibility of a further 2 million in bonuses for goals achieved.
The Colombian's arrival meets a long-standing demand from the football department: to find a high-level replacement for Giorgian De Arrascaeta. The board considers Carrascal to be the ideal choice for the playmaker role and has been trying to strengthen the sector in recent transfer windows.
From the beginning of the talks, Carrascal showed enthusiasm about the possibility of playing for Flamengo. The project presented pleased the athlete and his representatives, contributing to the progress of the negotiations . The red-and-black proposal is for a contract valid for four seasons, and the Colombian will be one of the main reinforcements for the final stretch of 2025.
Mengão should now return to Brazil this Monday (30) and focus on the return of the Brazilian football season. Flamengo has qualified for the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil and the Libertadores, where it will face Atlético-MG and Internacional, respectively. The first commitment, however, is for the Brasileirão, when it receives São Paulo at Maracanã . The CBF has not yet defined the dates due to the Club World Cup.
Former coach had already been impressed with coach Filipe Luís's playing style and now he has given his all to the Nation after celebrating against Bayern Munich

Flamengo was eliminated by Bayern Munich this past Sunday (29), and said goodbye to the Club World Cup. After the match, striker Wallace Yan spoke to the press and placed Mais Querido on the same 'level' as the German team.
Wallace Yan compares Flamengo and Bayern: "Of course we can say that (that he played on equal terms with Bayern)".
He continued: "We made some mistakes there, which is natural in football, every team makes mistakes. Now, we're going back to Brazil, working and improving a lot ," declared Wallace Yan, in a post-match interview.
