This Wednesday (26), at 8pm (Brasília time), Juventude hosts Flamengo at the Alfredo Jaconi stadium, in a match valid for the 12th round of the Brazilian Championship. Flamengo, which occupies the top positions in the table, arrives on the back of a nine-game unbeaten run, with eight wins and one draw. In the last round, the red and black team beat Fluminense in a classic played at Maracanã.

While Flamengo seeks to consolidate its position at the top of the table, Juventude fights to move away from the relegation zone. The team from Rio Grande do Sul hopes to use the home advantage to gain important points and improve its situation in the championship.

IMPORTANT MISSINGS IN FLAMENGO

Flamengo will have a great challenge in this match, as they will have eight confirmed absences. Five players were called up for the Copa América: Arrascaeta, De La Cruz, Varela and Viña for the Uruguayan National Team, and Pulgar for the Chilean National Team. Furthermore, three players are injured: Bruno Henrique, Everton Cebolinha and Igor Jesus. David Luiz, who suffered a knee injury against Fluminense, is doubtful for the match.

BALANCED RETROSPECT

< The clashes between Juventude and Flamengo throughout history are well balanced. In 27 matches, both teams have ten wins, as well as seven draws. In the last meeting, valid for the 2022 Brasileirão, the game ended in a 2-2 draw in Caxias do Sul.
TABOO TO BE BROKENFlamengo never beat Juventude at Alfredo Jaconi during the points era. Since 2003, there have been seven games, with three defeats and four draws. Flamengo's only victories at the stadium were in 1995, 2-0, and in 1997, 1-0. To overcome this taboo, Rubro-Negro will need to overcome not only the absences, but also the unfavorable record.

Flamengo beat Cruzeiro 2-1, this Sunday night, at Maracanã, for the 12th round of the Brazilian Championship. The result guaranteed three more points and the Rubro-Negra team's continued leadership of the championship. Scorer of Mais Querido's second goal, Fabrício Bruno celebrated another good result for the team.

The player is a product of the Minas Gerais club's youth teams and commented on the power of the “ex's law”. Fabrício was a key player in the result by being present at the origin of Pedro's goal, by stealing the ball from Matheus Pereira in midfield, and by scoring the winning goal.

“He's my ex- club. It's the ex's law, he's always making his presence known. Above all, happy with the game. Our team knew how to suffer in difficult times. I'm happy to score my first goal of the season. In the last game, we suffered from dead balls and today we managed to be happy with them”, said the defender.

In addition, the player also put the team's good phase, even with absences, to the power of the group of players of the cast. Flamengo continues to lead the Brazilian Championship even though it has to play in rounds with at least five players missing due to the Copa América.

“The secret is the group. We have behaviors that are trained with the whole team together. If there's one thing Professor Tite does, it's to make the group's strength count. Even though we lost players to the national teams, we have a very strong group”, he concluded.

Lorran was the target of some boos in the first half of Flamengo x Cruzeiro, this Sunday (30), and Tite chose to take him off the field at half-time. Even during the match, red and black fans debated on social media about the reactions from the Maracanã stands towards the 17-year-old and the situation proved to divide opinions.

Lorran was very involved during the time he was on the field and He even stole good balls in the offensive field. However, technical and decision errors in dangerous attacking plays, errors in marking and attempted dribbling in the defense field made the fans lose patience at one point.

According to the statistical portal 'Sofascore ', Lorran completed 74% of the 19 passes he attempted, with 14 successes and five errors. One of these passes was for Luiz Araújo to finish. Furthermore, he scored two out of four attempted dribbles, and won 50% of his defensive duels (3/6).

In the networks, some fans seem to have the same view of Lorran's certain carelessness at moments of the match and justify the irritation. But another group of red and black understand that fluctuations are natural for a player who is only 17 years old and that he should have more patience from the stands.

Fans comment on booing Lorran

“What they did to Lorran now is really shitty. The kid was bad, yes, but why boo the guy? What will this help? He's only 17 years old, he's still going to evolve a lot Sometimes the fans themselves don't help themselves…”, @Messi_Flaa_.

“The Flamengo fans at Maracanã went crazy. They are booing Lorran who is 17 years old. Yes, he has made mistakes when making decisions, but that's normal for his age, man. How absurd this is”, @_matheusfla.

“Booing Lorran is an act of cowardice and lack of sensitivity against an important asset of the club. Whoever booed, besides having no idea about football, is not Flamengo”, @gerafutebol.

“Lorran made 3 good plays, while Flamengo was playing well. After the goal the whole team seemed to get tired. It's very stupid to boo a boy who is wavering and doesn't even have anyone on the bench to play in his place. It doesn't help at all”, @RenanFlamengo.

“He deserved the boos. Cruzeiro moving forward and him standing there in attack, he got yelled at by Gerson and now by the fans”, @brollycrf

“Fucking hungry*, 17 years old and already in this whole leg. You really have to be booed, without further ado”, @ViniciusAlmda.

“It deserves it, the guy isn't playing anything”, @arraxca100.

“It's the fans' way of pulling their ears . It's not wrong. When he makes one or two right plays they will support”, @p_renatopb.
