Luiz Eduardo Baptista, BAP, launched his official candidacy for the presidency of Flamengo this past Monday (9). When presenting his government plan, the candidate reinforced the need for professionalism at the club and guaranteed that he is in favor of the Mais Querido stadium. Furthermore, he assured that he does not want to implement the SAF in Rubro-Negro.
"Firstly, deepen, in a dramatic way, the professionalization of Flamengo. It's not just in football, as people think, in the club The whole world is changing very quickly, faster than Flamengo has changed. Fortunately we have a privileged position, but nothing will change if we don't change", said BAP.

When completing his speech, BAP promised that in his management he will have trained professionals for each position and that he will not join the Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF).
"When we look to the future, with the challenges we face, only with a lot of professionalism, accomplished management, with people who know how to do things, we will take Flamengo to the level that the fans want. With a stadium, without SAF and with sporting hegemony", he concluded.

The award highlighted Flamengo's Social Responsibility work as a reference in promoting opportunities for children and teenagers from socially vulnerable contexts, combining football with socio-emotional education, such as Jogaremos Juntos, Flamengo's social project, which includes 1,000 children and teenagers in eight communities in Rio and Baixada Fluminense, as well as other social initiatives of the club that have already impacted more than 200,000 people.
“Welcoming Flamengo to the FutEdu Summit is an immense honor. A club with so much history and relevance in Brazilian football inspires and further strengthens our commitment to education through sport,” said Diogo Netto, CEO of the FutEdu Summit.
The main objective of the Award is to recognize, value and encourage football schools and social projects that use sport as a tool for innovation, education and social transformation. It promotes visibility, strengthens good practices and establishes a standard of excellence in the sports-educational sector.
