This past Monday (2), Rodrigo Dunshee spoke about some ideals if he manages to win the dispute. The current legal VP said that he intends to continue with Rodolfo Landim at the club and what role the agent would have in the new management.

"I have a professional relationship with Landim, he was a client of my office. I thought about to be a candidate and when I saw he was coming I said 'Ah Landim, I'm not going against you”. If I'm elected, I'll run the day-to-day running of the club, and Landim will be focused on the stadium", said Dunshee, on the Jannuzzi & podcast. Abuzze.

"I know all the projects, all the sponsors, all the contracts. I know everything that's going on. I have an excellent relationship with the executives who are there. This relationship of mine, knowledge of cause, they made me the right name to continue the work", he added.

Flamengo will be present at the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Trophy , which will take place between May 9th and 11th, in Brasília. The competition, one of the main ones on the national calendar, will be contested using apparatus and will serve as an important preparation stage for two of the main promises of the red-black women's team: Júlia Coutinho and Gabriela Bouças.

PREPARATION

The two gymnasts were called up to represent Brazil in the next stage of the World Cup, and the Brazil Trophy will be essential for them to gain rhythm and confidence before the international challenge . “We will focus on the preparation of Júlia Coutinho and Gabriela Bouças, who were called up for the World Cup. This competition will serve as preparation for them, since it will be the first time they will compete in an international event of this level,” explained Georgette Vidor, technical coordinator of Flamengo’s women’s artistic gymnastics team.

In addition to Júlia and Gabriela, Flamengo will have two more representatives in the adult category: Helen and Maria Eduardo Montesino , who are looking to reach the finals on the apparatus and win individual medals. However, the Club will not be at full strength in the competition. “We are going with only four adult athletes. Our Olympic gymnasts will not participate, and Larissa, who is also in the adult category, was injured. That is why we decided not to take the athletes from the youth category,” said Georgette.

TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ALREADY HAS A PLAN

The coaching staff's strategy also takes into account the season's objectives . “Although many clubs treat the Trophy as a priority competition, for us at Flamengo the main focus continues to be the Brazilian Championships by categories. Even so, we want to defend our team titles and seek individual victories”, he highlighted.

The event will have an intense schedule: official training on Thursday (9), qualifying on Friday (10), finalists' training on Saturday (11) and finals on Sunday (12). Gabriela Bouças will compete on the uneven bars and beam in the Trophy and, depending on her performance, may also expand her participation to the floor exercise in the World Cup. Júlia Coutinho has confirmed her participation on the floor exercise and is looking to put on a solid performance.

“This Trophy is a good opportunity for athletes who need more experience in competitions. We will participate to honor the event, although we are not at full strength. This is different from last year, when the competition was in Rio and we took all the athletes, including the Olympic athletes — Lorrane, Jade, Flávia and Rebeca. This year, the context is different. We will be leaner, but with the same spirit of representing the Club well and supporting our gymnasts during this time of preparation ,” concluded Georgette.

The Brazilian Volleyball Confederation confirmed on Monday (28) the call-up of two new athletes to join the Women's National Team training group. The middle blockers Julia Kudiess, from Gerdau Minas, and Diana Duarte, who plays for Türk Hava Yolları, were selected by coach Zé Roberto Guimarães as part of the preparation for the 2025 Nations League. The team's debut will take place on June 4, at Maracanãzinho, against the Czech Republic.

With a history of participation in the national team, Julia Kudiess returns after a long period away due to injury . The center ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee in May 2024, during a match against Serbia in the previous edition of the Nations League. After nine months of recovery, she returned to the courts in January and played a relevant role in Minas' campaign in the Superliga , being one of the key players until the team's elimination in the semifinals.

DIANA RECEIVES NEW OPPORTUNITY

Diana, who currently plays in the Turkish league, was also called up for the national team's training. Despite a season with few games for the European club, the center was present in the team's bronze medal win at the Paris Olympic Games , a factor that contributed to her new call-up. The athlete's international experience will be essential to strengthen the national team's defensive system.

WOMEN'S TEAM INCLUDES FLAMENGO PLAYERS

The preliminary list announced by the CBV includes names from different clubs in Brazil and abroad. In addition to the central players called up, the group also includes opposites Jheovanna and Tainara, outside hitter Helena and central players Lorena and Luzia. Libero Laís, from Sesc Flamengo , completes the team so far. The final list will be released after the end of the Superliga and other international competitions.

OPENING MATCH AT MARACANÃZINHO

The National Team's debut in the Nations League will be in front of the Rio de Janeiro crowd, at Maracanãzinho , a traditional venue for Brazilian volleyball. With athletes in the recovery phase and others with Olympic experience, the team will look to start the campaign well. Among the highlights called up are names from Sesc Flamengo, which once again has a significant presence in the composition of the Women's National Team.
