This Tuesday (17), Vinícius Júnior was crowned as the best player in the world of the 23/24 season by winning the FIFA The Best award. This achievement also elevates Flamengo to a select group of teams in world football: the list of clubs that have revealed the best in the world.
O Flamengo is only the 16th club in history to reveal an athlete who won the FIFA award since the award was introduced in 1991. There were 34 awards, 17 winners and only one team revealed more than one name that lifted the trophy: Sporting, from Portugal. The club was where Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo began their careers. Furthermore, it is worth highlighting that many athletes have won the award more than once, such as CR7 himself, as well as Ronaldo (3) and Messi (8), for example.

This Sunday (17), at 6:30 pm (Brasília time) , Mengão visits Internacional at Beira-Rio for the 20th round of the Brazilian Championship Series A. Flamengo arrives at the clash with 40 points in 17 games , occupying the leadership of the competition.
Cruzeiro, with 37 points from 19 matches, is the only team that can get closer in the standings this round . Internacional, meanwhile, has 24 points and sits in 11th place before kick-off. This is a crucial matchup for both teams.
