Flamengo isolated themselves at the top of the Brasileirão this Sunday night (30), after beating Cruzeiro 2-1. For the confrontation, Tite could not count on Gabigol, who was removed from the list of related players by the Mais Querido football department. After the game, Marcos Braz opened up about the player's removal.

"Flamengo preferred to remove Gabriel afterwards, but also in a conversation I had with his manager, we had a long conversation after the interview that he gave and we understood that Gabriel has already played five games here", began Marcos Braz, shortly after Flamengo's victory against Cruzeiro.

"If he played here today, he would no longer be able to but even travel with the club if he wanted to or if he had any proposals from Brazilian football. We made the choice to reach this moment now, as the businessman also said he wanted to listen and look for some new paths, we will wait for that. wouldn't make this impossible here", added the Flamengo director.

CLUBS INTERESTED IN GABIGOL

Last Friday (28), Gabigol's businessman revealed that he rejected a renewal proposal with the Most Dear. Furthermore, the player has received inquiries from other Brazilian teams and could sign a pre-contract with another club this Monday (1). Grêmio, Santos and Palmeiras are some teams interested in the player.

"Of course, this has time. We think that this will be done in 10 days, making it clear that Gabriel trains with the group, he trains at the same time, there is no problem whatsoever in relation to Gabriel's day to day life, he is being treated with the greatest respect in the world, we just chose a more direct and straightforward way for him to not complete the sixth or seventh game so as not to send a warning about any situation here in Brazil, which today there is still nothing, just to make it clear", concluded Marcos Braz.

FOCUS ON THE NEXT CONFRONTATION

Therefore, if no proposal arrives from another team for Gabigol, the player will once again be listed for Flamengo's games. However, it is possible that the number 99 will be absent from the team again in the match against Atlético-MG, next Wednesday (3), at Arena MRV.

The player revealed at Fábrica de Talentos left Toca do Leão in February 2007, after being one of the highlights in the Serie C campaign the previous year.

After playing for Benfica, Chelsea, Paris Saint- Germain and Arsenal throughout almost 15 years in European football, David Luiz returned to Brazil to wear red and black, but from Rio de Janeiro. When the defender was announced by Flamengo, in 2021, Vitória was experiencing the drama of yet another relegation to the Third Division.

Even if it's just to visit the stadium where he took his first steps in his professional career. The defender, now 37 years old, arrived at Toca do Leão when he was 14 and remained there until he was 20.

Série C and first sale

David Luiz debuted as a professional player at the age of 18, in 2005. Days later, Vitória agreed a loan with Benfica, who had an option to buy the defender and exercised this right in May of the same year. That was the first of many transfers in David Luiz's career. SERIOUS! JOURNALIST MEMBER SUSPENDED AFTER CRITICISM AND LOSES RIGHT TO VOTE IN 2024 FLAMENGO ELECTIONS

The protagonist of this story is Túlio Rodrigues, a member of the club and an active journalist on the Coluna do Fla website. In a live broadcast carried out on the aforementioned portal, Túlio did not hesitate to express his opinion about Antônio Alcides, president of Flamengo's Deliberative Council. The controversy had as its central point Alcides' decision to allow the launch of a third shirt, which differed from the one approved by the Council in 2022.

By labeling the president of the Council as 'lax', Túlio Rodrigues triggered a series of events that culminated in a surprising decision last Tuesday. The Commission of Inquiry, created by Rodolfo Landim at the request of Antônio Alcides, decided to suspend Túlio for a period of 60 days.

The decision was not unilateral. The Commission's opinion was submitted for consideration by the Board of Directors, which brings together not only president Rodolfo Landim, but also the club's vice-presidents. In this scenario, the 60-day suspension proposal was approved, imposing a significant pause on the journalist in his activities related to Flamengo.

However, the repercussions were not limited to the temporary suspension. Túlio Rodrigues, in addition to being removed from activities related to the club, lost the right to vote in the elections scheduled for 2024. A sanction that transcends the scope of communication and directly affects the member's political engagement in the future of Flamengo.

As with any controversial script, the outcome of the plot is not yet definitive. The decision of the Commission of Inquiry and subsequent approval by the Board of Directors are subject to appeal. The stage for this last instance is the Board of Directors, whose presidency is held by Bap.

The episode, which began with a disagreement over a shirt, now unfolds into a broader narrative about freedom of expression , political participation and ethical limits within the sporting universe. The plurality of voices and opinions, characteristics inherent to the world of football, highlights the need for a respectful and constructive dialogue between the different actors that make up the Flamengo scenario.

Regardless of the final outcome, the episode serves as a reflection on the intersection between club passion, social responsibility and the political dynamics that permeate behind the scenes of major football clubs. At a time when transparency and partner participation become key elements in sports management, Flamengo finds itself facing a crucial opportunity to strengthen its internal ties and reaffirm its commitment to the plurality of ideas.
