This Saturday (20), Flamengo faced Criciúma in a duel marked by twists and turns and intense emotions, emerging victorious 2-1. Flamengo's second goal was especially controversial, resulting from an unusual penalty. The move occurred when a Criciúma defender kicked a second ball that was on the field against the ball that was in play, generating the penalty that sealed the red-black victory.

< Despite the controversy surrounding the decision, Criciúma's goalkeeper, Gustavo, recognized the referee's correction in the move. "The feeling is one of frustration. We played an excellent match against a great team. We didn't look at the opponent, at the fans. I think we were harmed today, because the fans interfered in the score. They threw a ball onto the field, and our player got confused , kicking the ball thinking it was in play. The referee followed the rule. But we leave with our heads held high, aware that we are doing a great job", declared Gustavo.

The rules of the game are clear regarding situations of this type. According to the regulations, "throwing an object towards an opponent's ball […] is considered a direct free kick". As the incident occurred in Flamengo's attacking area, the penalty was correctly awarded, in accordance with football rules.
