This Monday (18), Wesley Safadão used his social networks to talk to his followers about his mental health. The red-black singer announced his temporary departure from the stage recently. The decision was made under medical advice, as he is experiencing a series of anxiety attacks.

Initially, information about the mental issue had not been disclosed by the singer or his advisor. However, after the media discovered this detail, some members of Wesley's family came to Público to comment on how they are dealing with the matter. This is, however, the first time he has spoken about it himself.

“Even if it’s a process. At times during the day, you feel a little strange. I'm improving every day. I have it within me that I am going to live the best years of my life. I needed to go through this to be able to have more balance", he explained. Safadão is 35 years old and had to cancel his shows for an indefinite period of time. some crises since 2018, which directly affects his relationship with work and fame. In August of this year (2023), during a performance in Minas Gerais, he had the worst attack. "I didn't know whether to go to the doctor or the show", he said.


He also confessed to his fans how he learned to deal with his health, when he had these cases. "I rolled down the car window, tried to breathe. I arrived at the show, I lay down in the dressing room, trying to breathe, I didn't know whether to cancel the show. And the house was already full! God blessed us, being able to do both shows. Since that day, I've been having these symptoms," he added.
