A buzz that originated almost eleven years ago was clarified by Marina Ruy Barbosa. The redhead found her name involved in a controversy, after Bella Campos stated that she would only shave her hair for a soap opera if she received R$5 million, as Carolina Dieckmann did in Laços de Família (2000).
Immediately, fans recalled the rumors that Marina Ruy Barbosa refused to get rid of her locks when she played Nicola in Amor à Vida, in 2013. The actress clarified, in the comments of a post on the Circo da Mídia profile, on Instagram, that the decision came from by the author of the plot, Walcyr Carrasco.
In the publication about Bella Campos' statements, a follower stated: “But I just want them to clean her up if they pass on Marina because to this day people pick on her because of the look.”
Marina Ruy Barbosa then decided to explain: “It wasn't quite like that. At the time I was called, I was told that the character would be one of the protagonists and that we would do a big social action about Nicole's cancer (my character!)”, she began, before adding:
