The game of Flamengo against Grêmio featured numerous appearances. Taking advantage of their European football vacation, many Brazilians attended Maracanã, including Neymar, goalkeeper Hugo Souza, defender Otávio and full-back Rodinei. Flamengo was eliminated from the Club World Cup last Sunday (29), after being defeated by Bayern Munich. Thus, part of the squad landed in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday morning (1). However, another part remained in the United States.
After being eliminated from the World Cup, Flamengo gave its players time off. Thus, Arrascaeta, Pedro, Léo Ortiz, Rossi , Léo Pereira, Matías Viña and Bruno Henrique remained in the USA. However, the players should be back this week, as the squad's return is scheduled for Saturday (5).
FOCUS ON SEASON SEQUENCE
With the return of the players, coach Filipe Luís will begin preparing the team for the rest of the season. Now, Rubro-Negro will focus its attention on the Brazilian Championship, Libertadores and Copa do Brasil. In the Brasileirão, Mais Querido is the leader, with 24 points, in addition to being qualified for the round of 16 of the knockout stages.
In the Libertadores, despite having had difficulties in the qualifying phase, Flamengo managed to advance to the round of 16 and now faces Internacional, with the first game being with the team from Rio Grande do Sul as the home team.

Last Sunday (29), Flamengo was eliminated from the Club World Cup after being defeated by Bayern Munich. In addition, the Mais Querido had another bad news, Erick Pulgar fractured the fifth metatarsal of his right foot . Thus, the red-black delegation landed in Rio de Janeiro this Tuesday (1) and the midfielder arrived in a wheelchair.
In a statement released by Flamengo, Erick Pulgar will be re-evaluated in Rio de Janeiro. Highlighting that the red-black squad landed in Rio on the morning of this Tuesday (1). Thus, the Medical Department will define the next steps in the treatment of the player's injury.
INJURY AFTER STRONG TACKLE ON HARRY KANE
Erick Pulgar was injured in the first half of the match between Flamengo and Bayern Munich. In the 42nd minute, the midfielder committed a foul on opposing striker Harry Kane and received a yellow card.
Soon after, he went to the bench complaining of pain in his foot and ended up leaving the game, giving way to Allan. After the substitution, Erick Pulgar was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he underwent medical examinations that confirmed a fracture.
OUT OF SEASON?
For this type of injury, in some cases, the quickest recovery requires surgery. However, there is a more conservative treatment with physiotherapy. It is worth remembering that, officially, Flamengo has not yet given a recovery timeframe for Pulgar , however, the Chilean should be out of action for two to three months.

HOMAGE TO FLAMENGO IN 7-1?
