In recent years, Flamengo has revealed several gems to the world and it seems that it will be no different with young Pablo Lúcio, from Mais Querido's under-17 team. The youngster from Ninho is one of Rubro-Negro's highlights and demonstrates a lot of lucidity with the ball, control and great vision for passes.

The young midfielder arrived at Mais Querido in 2022, at the age of 14, to play for the Under-15s . Born in Joinville, Santa Catarina, he showed quality from the beginning. Despite playing as the first midfield man, in 2024, Pablo scored four goals and eight appearances.

Seeing that the boy has a future, Flamengo wasted no time and signed his first professional contract with the young player on April 18, 2023. Now, to get Pablo Lúcio from Rubro-Negro, any team will have to pay around R$278 million. At Under-17, Pablo has received special attention from Filipe Luís.

BASE TALENTS

The talents at Mais Querido's youth base are fundamental to the club's strength. This is because, if today the club manages to sign great players ready on the market, the young players at the base continue to shine and guarantee profitable sales.

This last Saturday (8), coach Ramon Menezes brought together the Brazilian under-20 team for a training game against Botafogo, after a week of training at Granja Comary, the CBF concentration in Teresópolis. The Brazilian team beat the black and white team 7-0, with three goals from Flamengo athletes.

The week of training for the Brazilian under-20 team between June 3 and 8 was the beginning of the team's preparation for the South American Championship category, in January 2025, in Peru. This is because Ramon Menezes was unable to qualify Brazil for the Paris Olympics, which are now taking place in July and August.

In the game this past Saturday (8), Brazil had no difficulty in beating Botafogo under-20. The 7-0 victory was built on three goals from Flamengo players. Lorran scored twice and defender Iago scored the third. Both athletes plus Rayan Lucas have already returned to Mais Querido.

EXPECTATION FOR THE TITLE

With the absences of Arrascaeta and De La Cruz, as they are with the Uruguay team for the dispute of the Copa América, there is an expectation that Lorran will be a starter in Rubro-Negro's next match. This is because Ninho's son had already replaced the Uruguayans in previous games.

FOCUS ON THE NEXT CONFRONTATION

So, with Lorran available, the Flamengo squad continues to prepare for the next clash, against Grêmio, in the eighth round of the Brasileirão. Mais Querido returns to the field next Thursday (13th), at 8pm, at Maracanã.

The young right-back Wesley, from Flamengo, is in the sights of European clubs who see great potential in the player. According to information from journalist Julio Miguel Neto, several teams from the old continent are interested in a loan from Wesley, with the option to purchase at the end of the contract.

These European clubs are keeping an eye on the young man's talent athlete and believe he could adapt quickly to European football. However, Flamengo has no plans to release Wesley at this time. The absence of Varela, who will be away due to the Copa América dispute, makes Wesley's presence even more crucial for the Rio team.

FLAMENGO HAS A NEW JOB FOR WESLEY

The stance from Flamengo is clear: Wesley will only leave the club if a purchase proposal appears that he cannot refuse. Until that happens, the right-back will continue defending the red and black colors.

The Flamengo coach plans to give Wesley more opportunities in the next games. This means the player will have more time on the field and will be able to show his full potential. The expectation is that he will increasingly establish himself as an important piece in the starting team.
