The Flamengo, the Brazilian football giant, received an unexpected proposal from the Italian sports equipment company, Givova. According to information obtained by the Paparazzo RN channels, Givova's proposal exceeds in value that offered by Adidas, the club's current sponsor, and other renowned brands

The company demonstrated interest in establishing a partnership with Flamengo to supply sports materials , covering not only the Rio club, but also the Venezuelan national team, as well as other smaller teams.

NEW SPONSOR IN THE AREA?

However, negotiations between the club and Givova were not as simple as one might imagine. The marketing department of Flamengo presented a series of demands to the Italian company, among which the annual production of 2 million pieces stands out, distribution throughout the national territory and a minimum payment of R$ 100 million reais per year in royalties and retainers. Furthermore, the club requested that Givova guarantee, free of charge, at least 50 thousand pieces to meet the specific demand of the sports played by Rubro-Negro.

Despite the value offered by Givova, estimated at around of 100 million reais, Flamengo considers other aspects besides the financial aspect. The Flamengo brand is seen as an asset of great value, and the club understands that associating itself with renowned brands such as Adidas contributes to its global image. Therefore, the globalization of the club and the appreciation of the brand are preponderant factors that can influence the final decision on the partnership with Givova.

In this scenario, Flamengo finds itself facing a complex decision. On the one hand, Givova's proposal represents a considerable financial opportunity, capable of generating significant revenue for the club. On the other hand, the association with consolidated brands such as Adidas strengthens Flamengo's image on the national and international scene.

Speculated as a possible reinforcement of Flamengo to fill the gap left by Pedro, striker Anthony Martial is free on the market, but has not played since December 9, 2023. On that occasion, Manchester United, his former club, entered the field to face Bournemouth and lost 3-0 in the Premier League. Martial was a starter and played for 56 minutes.

At the beginning of the year, the French striker suffered a groin injury that required surgery. Therefore, he was away for around 42 days, only returning in March. Even though there were three months left on his contract, Manchester United chose to let go of the player. Since then, Martial has been evaluating his next club and Flamengo is paying attention to his movements.

Just like Flamengo, Anthony Martial suffered from injuries in 2023/24. The star had several physical problems that kept him away from the field for a total of 60 days. Due to muscle pain, the player was not available for United in 12 matches last season.

Status of the deal between Flamengo and Anthony Martial

If the If Flamengo is really interested in the Frenchman, they will have to race against time and agree on the signing by Monday (9). Registration for free players is closing. According to Italian journalist Luca Bendoni, who works at the Gianluca Dimarzio portal, the deal could come to fruition soon.

Offered to Flamengo by his staff, Martial also had a drop in his personal numbers. In the 2022/23 season, the player scored six goals and provided two assists in the Premier League. In 2023/24, it was just one goal and no pass that resulted in the ball in the opponents' net.

Next Monday, Adidas will reveal to the advisors of Flamengo the club's new uniforms for the 2025 season. Kept in absolute secrecy until now, the new uniforms bring something new that promises to please the most nostalgic fans: the return of the Adidas "Trefoil" logo, which was popular in past decades.

The new uniforms are developed in partnership with Adidas, a brand that has been a sponsor of Flamengo for many years. This announcement is generating great anticipation as the "Trefoil", which is Adidas' iconic shamrock-shaped logo, will be reintroduced onto the team's third kit. The "Trefoil" logo is an iconic symbol that dates back to the 1970s and 1980s, a period marked by great sporting achievements and innovations in uniform design.

ANOTHER NEW INVESTMENT IN TECHNOLOGY

The decision to bring back this logo can be seen as a way of celebrating the rich history of the club and the Adidas brand, as well as creating an emotional connection with fans who have fond memories of those times. The details of the new uniforms are being kept completely confidential, which further increases the expectation surrounding the launch.

The decision to keep the mantles under lock and key aims to make a big impact at the time of the reveal, as well as avoiding leaks that could spoil the surprise for fans. The fans of Flamengo< /a> are eager to see the new uniforms and many are speculating about how the "Trefoil" will be incorporated into the design. The return of this logo is seen as a nod to the past, but with an eye towards the future, combining classic elements with modern innovations.
