The Flamengo, the Brazilian football giant, received an unexpected proposal from the Italian sports equipment company, Givova. The company demonstrated interest in establishing a partnership with Flamengo to supply sports materials , covering not only the Rio club, but also the Venezuelan national team, as well as other smaller teams.

However, negotiations between the club and Givova were not as simple as one might imagine.
