The Deliberative Council of Flamengo will vote this Monday (1) on BRB's new sponsorship contract. The contract includes a clause that allows the Brasília bank to terminate the agreement, without paying termination, if the club creates a SAF for its football in the next two years.
According to information from the MRN website, Flamengo transformed the partnership with BRB into three separate contracts. The shortest is also the one that will generate the most money for the club: the contract for the bank's brand to be displayed on the shoulders of the shirt, which will generate R$25 million per year until March 2026.
Still According to MRN findings, this contract also contains a clause that allows BRB to terminate sponsorship if the club becomes SAF. Among the clauses listed for termination are "social change or modification of the sponsored company's purpose, as well as its association with another, merger, spin-off or incorporation".
DOES THE CHANGE AFFECT OTHER CONTRACTS?
However, the change would not affect the other two contracts, which are of longer duration. The first for use of the Mais Querido by BRB, which has a duration of five years and a minimum value of R$15 million annually, and the contract to create the Nação BRB Fla bank, valid for 20 years and providing for 45% of profits.
For everything to come into force, the three contracts must be approved by the Deliberative Council, in a meeting this Monday (1), at 7pm. The expectation is that everything will be approved.
LANDIM GUARANTEES THAT HE WILL NOT JOIN SAF
Last week, President Rodolfo Landim assured his vice-president cousin of Patrimônio Arthur Rocha, who will not propose the creation of a SAF before the end of his mandate, in December. However, in an interview this Sunday (31), the president once again defended the creation of the association.
