In 2023, the Service Time Guarantee Fund (FGTS) recorded the highest profit in history, with R$23.4 billion. Part of this revenue came from investments in the Porto Maravilha real estate fund, in Rio de Janeiro, where Flamengo intends to build its stadium. Thus, on his social networks, Mayor Eduardo Paes mentioned Mais Querido's possible "new home" when sharing the news.

“Rio City Hall helping the FGTS! And with the future Flamengo Stadium, we will help even more!”, wrote Eduardo Paes, on X, the old Twitter. The message was shared alongside a newspaper clipping, which highlighted the biggest profit in the history of the FGTS.

“FGTS profit. The Service Time Guarantee Fund (FGTS) earned R$23.4 billion in 2023, according to data presented by Caixa at a Board of Trustees meeting. In the previous year, profit was R$12.7 billion. On August 6, the board will decide on the distribution of the result for credit to workers' accounts. The result is the result of returns on investments, credit operations and the agreement in the Porto Maravilha real estate fund, in Rio, which contributed R$ 6.5 billion, according to the Ministry of Labor and Employment”, said the article.< /p>CHECK OUT THE POST:

Essential for child development, breast milk is considered by the World Health Organization (WHO) as the “golden food”, giving rise to Golden August, a month to encourage breastfeeding. Thus, to reinforce support for the campaign, Flamengo's Social Responsibility department took, last Tuesday (27), water polo athlete Duda Martins, who is 26 weeks pregnant, and the club's mascots to meet the Maria Amélia Buarque de Holanda Municipal Maternity, a reference in humanized care for pregnant women, in the center of Rio.

As part of the activity program, the athlete received guidance on the breastfeeding process and the importance of breast milk in child development and in building bonds together with other pregnant and postpartum women cared for by the maternity ward.

“Flamengo's presence here today is extremely important because all actions aimed at Agosto Dourado aim to support, promote and increasingly encourage breastfeeding. Encouraging breastfeeding on demand, increasing breastfeeding time allows society to understand the real benefit that human milk has for both babies and mothers”, said Carla Navarrete, coordinator of the Nutrition and Dietetics Service at the Maternity Hospital and president of the Unit's Breastfeeding Committee.

“Visiting the Maria Amélia maternity ward was an incredible experience, I could see that the maternity ward is really very intense. I answered questions, learned and prepared myself a little more, and had contact with other pregnant women. Each of us had different doubts and fears, which were fully welcomed by the team that welcomed us. It was a pleasure to be part of Flamengo's social responsibility action”, said athlete Duda Martins.

Production assistant Josiane Portugal, who is also pregnant and undergoes prenatal care at the maternity ward, added. “Today I learned that only breast milk is enough and no other milk is needed for the child to grow up healthy. I loved Flamengo's presence here today. I'm a Flamengo fan, my family is Flamengo fan and I was very happy to know that Flamengo supports breastfeeding”, she praised.

As part of the proposal to humanize motherhood, the athlete received a beautiful pregnancy painting, which allowed you to understand how your baby is positioned inside your belly.

Tension between the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, and the state governor, Cláudio Castro, increased this weekend. In yet another exchange of public barbs, Castro stated that Paes has "exceeded the good coexistence" with "personal attacks". The governor's comment came after criticism from Paes during an event in the city's West Zone, on Saturday (7), where the mayor accused Castro of being "lax" in managing public security.

During the event at Praça Seca, Eduardo Paes did not mince words when talking about the current security situation in the state. Accompanied by vice-governor Thiago Pampolha, who broke with Castro, Paes highlighted that the governor's authority has been lost, which, according to him, facilitates the actions of criminals.

"I have never seen what is happening happen happening now. They have lost their authority, their morale, and when criminals and criminals realize that the ruler is weak, that he has no authority, like the governor, they use and abuse it", stated the mayor in his speech.

On Sunday (8), Cláudio Castro used his social networks to respond to Paes' statements. The governor defended his administration and suggested that the mayor of Rio de Janeiro is becoming nervous when asked about public security issues. Furthermore, Castro criticized problems in the city that are the responsibility of the city hall, such as garbage collection, the situation of socially vulnerable people and the economy.

"You don't need to be nervous when asked about security public, Eduardo. Take care of being responsible for your management in the city", wrote Castro.

GOVERNOR ACCUSES PAES OF BLOCKING SECURITY PROJECTS< /p>

Cláudio Castro also took the opportunity to accuse Eduardo Paes of having denied his administration the use of public spaces for the implementation of security projects in Rio. The governor mentioned that the mayor refused to give up land for the construction of police stations and installation of security booths in strategic areas of the city.

"Do you remember when you refused to give me public spaces to create a security program in the city's tourist belt? Or when you denied areas to build police stations and install security booths? I won't forget", said Castro. According to the governor, even in the face of these denials, he chose not to turn the issue into a political clash.
