The president of Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim, said in an interview with CBN that it is not time for Flamengo to discuss how it will finance the construction of its own stadium and that it must first buy the land. According to Landim, once the land is acquired, Flamengo needs to use the Maracanã concession to be able to calmly plan the best construction and financing model. He assured, however, that the stadium “will come out with or without SAF”.
“Even if we have access to this land, if we are going to take care of all the licensing work, the discussions that we will have together with the city hall regarding people's mobility, the various approvals and construction time, this is a project for at least five years. I even see Maracanã as a way of, once we have the land, structuring a better way to build this stadium and finance this stadium over time. For now, what we really want is to have access to this land, which we believe is very important so that we can later develop this project calmly”, he stated.
Landim hinted that Flamengo was able to acquire the land with its own resources thanks to the club's economic power, which had revenue of almost R$1.4 billion and a surplus of more than R$320 million in 2023, as revealed in the balance sheet published last Thursday.
“We are reducing our debt, and we have a very low net debt. In fact, we are putting together the economic conditions to have a stadium”, he said.
Landim explains his insistence on the land at Gasologista
The president of Flamengo said that the Gasologista land is perfect for Flamengo's plans, which is why he is insisting so much on its acquisition.

Landim defends that Flamengo controls football 'forever'
Landim assured, however, that there is no possibility that, even with the creation of the SAF, Flamengo giving up control of your football.
“There is no reason today so that in whatever Flamengo's project may be, the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo will not be the controller of your football. Whenever people associate the image of the SAF, they see the SAF as a solution to save clubs from bankruptcy. The first thing I want to make publicly is that I understand that Flamengo has no reason why its sports association should not continue to control its football forever.”
Landim attributed it to an attempt by the opposition to create controversial in an election year the anticipation of the discussion on SAF. However, the person who put the issue on the agenda was Landim's cousin and vice-president of Patrimony Arthur Rocha, who gathered signatures for an amendment to regulate the process of transforming the club into SAF. No entanto, a experiência no futebol europeu não teve o sucesso esperado, o que fez o jogador retornar ao Brasil pouco tempo depois.

“A gente sempre tem contato. Eu, o Vini e o Paquetá. Com o Paquetá eu falo mais, jogamos juntos desde cedo. Nós três formávamos um trio”, contou o atacante. O jogador também destacou a relação próxima com Paquetá, revelando trocas frequentes de mensagens, inclusive após partidas recentes pela Libertadores.
Atualmente no Sporting Cristal, Vizeu vive um momento de maior regularidade e tem ganhado espaço com boas atuações. O clube peruano, inclusive, está no mesmo grupo do Palmeiras na Libertadores, o que aumenta a visibilidade do atacante no cenário sul-americano. Além dele, outros nomes com passagem pelo Flamengo também fazem parte do elenco do time peruano, como Gabriel e Zé Ricardo, reforçando a conexão rubro-negra dentro do clube.
A história de Vizeu com o Flamengo começou com destaque ainda nas categorias de base. O mercado da bola pode ganhar um dos enredos mais interessantes da próxima janela de transferências envolvendo Flamengo e São Paulo. Os dois clubes monitoram uma possível negociação que inclui Marcos Antônio e Everton Cebolinha, mas a operação está longe de ser uma simples troca direta.
De acordo com o jornalista Jorge Nicola, o Flamengo mantém forte interesse no meio-campista do São Paulo, enquanto o clube paulista vê com bons olhos a chegada de Cebolinha, que perdeu espaço no elenco comandado por Leonardo Jardim.
Apesar do interesse mútuo, o principal entrave está na valorização dos atletas. Marcos Antônio é considerado um dos ativos mais importantes do São Paulo no momento, com alto valor de mercado e boa projeção. O Flamengo anunciou, nesta segunda-feira (04), a renovação de contrato de Bruno Henrique até dezembro de 2027. O atacante assinou o novo vínculo no Ninho do Urubu, após o treinamento, acompanhado da família e ao lado do diretor de futebol José Boto.
A extensão contratual reforça a ligação entre clube e jogador, que se tornou um dos maiores ídolos da história recente rubro-negra. Desde a estreia, em janeiro de 2019, quando marcou dois gols contra o Botafogo, Bruno Henrique construiu uma trajetória marcada por números expressivos e protagonismo em momentos decisivos.
Com a camisa do Flamengo, o atacante acumula 361 partidas, 114 gols e 58 assistências, consolidando-se como uma das principais referências ofensivas do clube nos últimos anos. Além dos números gerais, Bruno Henrique também se destaca em jogos grandes. Não à toa, ganhou o apelido de “Rei dos Clássicos”, com 22 gols marcados em 62 confrontos contra rivais estaduais..
