The president of Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim, said in an interview with CBN that it is not time for Flamengo to discuss how it will finance the construction of its own stadium and that it must first buy the land. According to Landim, once the land is acquired, Flamengo needs to use the Maracanã concession to be able to calmly plan the best construction and financing model. He assured, however, that the stadium “will come out with or without SAF”.
“Even if we have access to this land, if we are going to take care of all the licensing work, the discussions that we will have together with the city hall regarding people's mobility, the various approvals and construction time, this is a project for at least five years. I even see Maracanã as a way of, once we have the land, structuring a better way to build this stadium and finance this stadium over time. For now, what we really want is to have access to this land, which we believe is very important so that we can later develop this project calmly”, he stated.
Landim hinted that Flamengo was able to acquire the land with its own resources thanks to the club's economic power, which had revenue of almost R$1.4 billion and a surplus of more than R$320 million in 2023, as revealed in the balance sheet published last Thursday.
“We are reducing our debt, and we have a very low net debt. In fact, we are putting together the economic conditions to have a stadium”, he said.
Landim explains his insistence on the land at Gasologista
The president of Flamengo said that the Gasologista land is perfect for Flamengo's plans, which is why he is insisting so much on its acquisition.

Landim defends that Flamengo controls football 'forever'
Landim assured, however, that there is no possibility that, even with the creation of the SAF, Flamengo giving up control of your football.
“There is no reason today so that in whatever Flamengo's project may be, the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo will not be the controller of your football. Whenever people associate the image of the SAF, they see the SAF as a solution to save clubs from bankruptcy. The first thing I want to make publicly is that I understand that Flamengo has no reason why its sports association should not continue to control its football forever.”
Landim attributed it to an attempt by the opposition to create controversial in an election year the anticipation of the discussion on SAF. O Flamengo mantém otimismo quanto à renovação de Filipe Luís após a conquista do tetra da Libertadores, mas a permanência do técnico ainda não está garantida. A apuração é de Rodrigo Mattos, do Canal UOL, que explica que as conversas por um novo acordo vêm ocorrendo desde meados do ano e ganharam novos contornos depois que o português Jorge Mendes passou a representar Filipe.

A entrada de Jorge Mendes na negociação elevou o grau de complexidade. Considerado um dos empresários mais influentes da Europa, o agente amplia a visibilidade de Filipe Luís no mercado: “Era uma renovação que poderia ter sido muito mais simples lá atrás, mas agora o técnico tem um agente com forte trânsito no futebol europeu, e isso muda o cenário”, explicou Rodrigo Mattos.
A diretoria, especialmente o presidente Bap, pretende assegurar a permanência do treinador por pelo menos dois anos, garantindo estabilidade até 2027. A ideia é construir um projeto contínuo, em linha com o modelo adotado pelo Palmeiras nos últimos anos.

A final da Libertadores entre Flamengo e Palmeiras, decidida no último sábado (29), segue rendendo debates. A atuação do árbitro argentino Darío Herrera, especialmente em dois lances envolvendo Erick Pulgar e Raphael Veiga, virou assunto central no programa Posse de Bola, do UOL, reunindo Eduardo Tironi, Juca Kfouri, Mauro Cezar Pereira, Danilo Lavieri e Arnaldo Ribeiro.

Entre os comentaristas, Arnaldo Ribeiro foi o que mais sustentou a decisão de Herrera em não expulsar os jogadores. Para ele, em uma final de partida única, o árbitro só deve recorrer ao cartão vermelho em situações realmente extremas. Sobre o lance de Pulgar, que acertou a sola na canela de Bruno Fuchs com a bola parada, Arnaldo avaliou que não houve violência suficiente para expulsão.
“É do jogo. Acho que o árbitro foi excelente. Foi mais sem querer. A questão do Bruno Fuchs com a canela raspada é mais pela sequela do que pela violência.” O comentarista também citou o choque de Veiga com Carrascal como mais perigoso, por ter ocorrido com a bola em movimento, mas reforçou que Herrera “não interferiu no jogo”.
Em sentido oposto, Juca Kfouri e Danilo Lavieri consideraram que o lance de Pulgar configurou agressão. Para eles, o fato de a bola estar parada e o contato ser firme justificaria a expulsão. Os dois comentaristas ponderaram que, apesar de intensidades diferentes, tanto Pulgar quanto Veiga poderiam ter sido advertidos com cartão vermelho pelos padrões disciplinares aplicados em competições continentais.
Mauro Cezar Pereira adotou uma linha intermediária. Ele avaliou que ambos os lances poderiam sim resultar em cartão vermelho, porém destacou a postura “moderadora” do árbitro. Além disso, chamou atenção para a reclamação de Bruno Fuchs após o jogo: “O Bruno Fuchs é o mesmo jogador que disse que a entrada do Gustavo Gómez no Wanderson não era para cartão. Agora está exibindo a perna machucada. Impressionante as contradições.”
Segundo a ESPN, Darío Herrera explicou internamente que não expulsou Erick Pulgar porque a “entrada não teve intensidade suficiente”. Apesar do contato firme, o juiz considerou que a jogada não alcançou o nível de violência necessário para cartão vermelho. Herrera aplicou apenas o amarelo e manteve o ritmo da partida, posição que agora divide opiniões entre analistas e torcedores.
