The president of Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim, said in an interview with CBN that it is not time for Flamengo to discuss how it will finance the construction of its own stadium and that it must first buy the land. According to Landim, once the land is acquired, Flamengo needs to use the Maracanã concession to be able to calmly plan the best construction and financing model. He assured, however, that the stadium “will come out with or without SAF”.
“Even if we have access to this land, if we are going to take care of all the licensing work, the discussions that we will have together with the city hall regarding people's mobility, the various approvals and construction time, this is a project for at least five years. I even see Maracanã as a way of, once we have the land, structuring a better way to build this stadium and finance this stadium over time. For now, what we really want is to have access to this land, which we believe is very important so that we can later develop this project calmly”, he stated.
Landim hinted that Flamengo was able to acquire the land with its own resources thanks to the club's economic power, which had revenue of almost R$1.4 billion and a surplus of more than R$320 million in 2023, as revealed in the balance sheet published last Thursday.
“We are reducing our debt, and we have a very low net debt. In fact, we are putting together the economic conditions to have a stadium”, he said.
Landim explains his insistence on the land at Gasologista
The president of Flamengo said that the Gasologista land is perfect for Flamengo's plans, which is why he is insisting so much on its acquisition.

Which is the Bayern Munich model. Instead of selling control, Bayern sold a minority portion of this capital. He continues to have 75.1% of football control. And through this mechanism he obtained resources to build a stadium. Can we give up using this money [from a SAF]? We can let go. But we are going to put the club in debt and it will be much more painful for us because there will be a capital cost to pay this money that will be necessary for the construction of the stadium that could be reverted to the football club, for investment in our players”, he stated.
Landim defends that Flamengo controls football 'forever'
Landim assured, however, that there is no possibility that, even with the creation of the SAF, Flamengo giving up control of your football.
“There is no reason today so that in whatever Flamengo's project may be, the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo will not be the controller of your football. Whenever people associate the image of the SAF, they see the SAF as a solution to save clubs from bankruptcy. The first thing I want to make publicly is that I understand that Flamengo has no reason why its sports association should not continue to control its football forever.”
Landim attributed it to an attempt by the opposition to create controversial in an election year the anticipation of the discussion on SAF. Em contagem regressiva para a finalíssima da CONMEBOL Libertadores, o técnico Filipe Luís concedeu entrevista nesta quinta-feira (27), a apenas 48 horas do confronto decisivo contra o Palmeiras. O comandante do Flamengo falou sobre a expectativa para o duelo no Estádio Monumental, em Lima, e definiu a missão de estar à beira do gramado não como um peso, mas como uma honra diante da grandeza da instituição.
Questionado sobre o sentimento de guiar o time em uma final continental, Filipe Luís destacou a qualidade e o desejo de vitória de seus atletas. Para ele, representar a imensa torcida rubro-negra é o ponto alto de sua atual função.
"Representa um orgulho muito grande poder liderar esse grupo de jogadores incríveis, muito ambiciosos e também uma torcida de 50 milhões de pessoas. Mais do que uma responsabilidade, é um privilégio", afirmou o treinador, demonstrando tranquilidade e confiança no trabalho realizado.

O nome de Giorgian de Arrascaeta voltou a ser pauta no futebol internacional, desta vez no México. Nicolás Larcamón, atual treinador do Cruz Azul, comentou abertamente sobre o interesse da equipe no meio-campista do Flamengo. Em entrevista à rádio Itatiaia, o comandante argentino confirmou que o uruguaio possui exatamente o perfil buscado pelos "Cementeros", embora tenha esclarecido o contexto das investidas anteriores.
Larcamón detalhou que a estrutura diretiva do clube mexicano é, atualmente, gerida por um staff uruguaio. Esse fator estreita os laços com jogadores da mesma nacionalidade, colocando nomes de peso, como o do armador do Flamengo, no radar da instituição.
“A direção está sendo comandada por um staff uruguaio, que tem boa relação com vários jogadores do país, dentre eles, o Arrascaeta. E é claro, ele tem um perfil que se encaixa no Cruz Azul”, pontuou o técnico do time mexicano.
O treinador, ex-Cruzeiro, não poupou elogios à qualidade técnica de Arrascaeta, destacando sua ofensividade e o status de "hierarquia" que ele traz ao jogo. A poucos dias da grande decisão da CONMEBOL Libertadores, o meia Raphael Veiga, um dos pilares do Palmeiras, aqueceu o clima para o confronto. O jogador colocou o Flamengo, adversário deste sábado (29) em Lima, no Peru, no topo da lista de rivais do clube alviverde no momento, considerando o cenário de disputa direta por taças nas últimas temporadas.
Embora reconheça a importância histórica e a rivalidade local indiscutível com o Corinthians, Veiga argumentou que a frequência de finais e a briga pela soberania no futebol brasileiro e sul-americano elevaram o status do duelo contra o Rubro-Negro.
“Por conta dos últimos títulos, estamos sempre brigando por taças e o Flamengo, talvez, seja nosso maior rival hoje. Quando é Derby tem uma questão diferente, mas o Flamengo tem brigado com a gente e é um time muito forte”, analisou o camisa 23 em entrevista à ESPN.
O histórico recente corrobora a visão do atleta. Além da final da Libertadores de 2021, as equipes decidiram a Supercopa do Brasil em 2023, ocasião em que o Alviverde, campeão brasileiro, superou o Flamengo, campeão da Copa do Brasil.
Sobre as provocações daquela época, o meia tratou com naturalidade: "É uma provocação saudável do futebol. O jogo se ganha dentro de campo, temos que estar concentrados. Estou feliz e motivado", disse o jogador da equipe paulista.
O Palmeiras chega para a decisão no Estádio Monumental atravessando um momento de instabilidade técnica, acumulando cinco partidas sem vitória. No entanto, Raphael Veiga acredita que o aspecto mental, tão trabalhado pelo técnico Abel Ferreira, será o diferencial para "virar a chave" em um jogo único.
“É algo que o Abel, desde que chegou, frisa bastante. É muito importante na vida do atleta. Sabemos dos resultados e desempenho dos últimos jogos, mas uma final de Libertadores é diferente de tudo", finalizou a analise o atleta alviverde.
