The president of Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim, said in an interview with CBN that it is not time for Flamengo to discuss how it will finance the construction of its own stadium and that it must first buy the land. According to Landim, once the land is acquired, Flamengo needs to use the Maracanã concession to be able to calmly plan the best construction and financing model. He assured, however, that the stadium “will come out with or without SAF”.
“Even if we have access to this land, if we are going to take care of all the licensing work, the discussions that we will have together with the city hall regarding people's mobility, the various approvals and construction time, this is a project for at least five years. I even see Maracanã as a way of, once we have the land, structuring a better way to build this stadium and finance this stadium over time. For now, what we really want is to have access to this land, which we believe is very important so that we can later develop this project calmly”, he stated.
Landim hinted that Flamengo was able to acquire the land with its own resources thanks to the club's economic power, which had revenue of almost R$1.4 billion and a surplus of more than R$320 million in 2023, as revealed in the balance sheet published last Thursday.
“We are reducing our debt, and we have a very low net debt. In fact, we are putting together the economic conditions to have a stadium”, he said.
Landim explains his insistence on the land at Gasologista
The president of Flamengo said that the Gasologista land is perfect for Flamengo's plans, which is why he is insisting so much on its acquisition.

When asked if the construction of the stadium depends on Flamengo becoming SAF, Landim assured that it is not.

Which is the Bayern Munich model. Instead of selling control, Bayern sold a minority portion of this capital. He continues to have 75.1% of football control. And through this mechanism he obtained resources to build a stadium. Can we give up using this money [from a SAF]? We can let go. But we are going to put the club in debt and it will be much more painful for us because there will be a capital cost to pay this money that will be necessary for the construction of the stadium that could be reverted to the football club, for investment in our players”, he stated.
Landim defends that Flamengo controls football 'forever'
Landim assured, however, that there is no possibility that, even with the creation of the SAF, Flamengo giving up control of your football.
“There is no reason today so that in whatever Flamengo's project may be, the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo will not be the controller of your football. Whenever people associate the image of the SAF, they see the SAF as a solution to save clubs from bankruptcy. The first thing I want to make publicly is that I understand that Flamengo has no reason why its sports association should not continue to control its football forever.”
Landim attributed it to an attempt by the opposition to create controversial in an election year the anticipation of the discussion on SAF. However, the person who put the issue on the agenda was Landim's cousin and vice-president of Patrimony Arthur Rocha, who gathered signatures for an amendment to regulate the process of transforming the club into SAF. President cites Palmeiras to reject stadium-only society
Landim also explained why he rejects the possibility of creating a society for specific purpose to generate the stadium instead of a SAF that would take over part of Flamengo's football, albeit a minority.

No dia 15 de novembro, seu aniversário, o Flamengo venceu o Sport por 5 a 1 (um poético 1x5 no visor devido ao Mengão ser visitante) pelo Brasileirão e assumiu a liderança provisória da competição. O Palmeiras, principal adversário na disputa pelo título, joga na sequência às 21h (horário de Brasília).
O primeiro tempo foi de muitos erros e desatenção por parte do Flamengo. O Mais Querido não conseguia criar oportunidades e viu, em uma falha de João Victor e Emerson Royal, o Sport abrir o placar com Pablo, jogando um enorme peso nas costas do Mengão. Mas, Matheus Alexandre e Ramon, defensores do Leão, foram expulsos com dois cartões amarelos e abriram a porteira para um domínio completo do clube carioca.
Luiz Araújo conseguiu empatar o jogo ainda no primeiro tempo e, na virada para a segunda etapa, Filipe Luís colocou mais jogadores de ataque para empurrar o Sport. Pior campanha da Série A, o Leão não parecia ter forças para suportar o ataque mais letal do Campeonato Brasileiro. Logo aos 15’ do segundo tempo, Juninho virou o jogo e escancarou a porta para o baile.
Menos de três minutos depois, foi a vez de Bruno Henrique marcar um belíssimo gol de cobertura após falha na defesa do Sport e ter seu nome gritado pelos torcedores, celebrando a sua liberação para atuar após o julgamento da última quinta-feira (13). Ayrton Lucas e o estreante Douglas Telles fecharam o placar, com grande participação de Everton Cebolinha, o melhor em campo após sua entrada no segundo tempo.
Com o resultado, o Flamengo assume a liderança provisória do Brasileirão com 71 pontos, mas pode ser ainda ultrapassado pelo Palmeiras que joga às 21h (de Brasília) diante do Santos. Em caso de tropeço Alviverde, o Mengão recupera de vez a primeira colocação. Já o Sport teve seu rebaixamento para a Série B de 2026 confirmado com o final da partida.
O Mengão agora volta para o Rio de Janeiro, onde focará seus esforços na preparação para o clássico diante do Fluminense pela 34ª rodada do Brasileirão na próxima quarta-feira (19), às 21h30 (horário de Brasília). O Clube de Regatas do Flamengo celebra, neste sábado (15), seus 130 anos de história. Na data especial, o maior ídolo do clube, Zico, destacou que o protagonismo alcançado pelo aniversariante se deve, sobretudo, à força da torcida, apontada por ele como o maior patrimônio do Mais Querido.

“Para mim, o maior patrimônio que o Flamengo tem é a sua torcida. Qual é o time que, em todo jogo, tem 50, 60 mil torcedores prestigiando, apoiando em todos os momentos? É uma coisa fantástica”, afirmou o Galinho, em entrevista ao Jornal Extra.
Em seguida, reforçou: “Não é porque está ganhando que tem 60 mil, não. Nos momentos de maior dificuldade também havia 60 mil pessoas lá. É uma torcida que, quando vê que o time corresponde ao que ela acredita, vai e apoia.
Em 1895, seis jovens do bairro do Flamengo decidiram criar um grupo de remo para competir com equipes de outras regiões e também conquistar a atenção das meninas cariocas. Construíram então Pherusa, a primeira embarcação rubro-negra, que acabou naufragando.
A canoa foi reformada, mas posteriormente roubada. A persistência falou mais alto, e o grupo construiu Sycra. Assim, na noite de 17 de novembro de 1895, os jovens se reuniram para fundar oficialmente o Grupo de Regatas do Flamengo. Na mesma ocasião, foi definida a primeira diretoria e estabelecido que a data oficial de fundação seria 15 de novembro, feriado nacional.
Para marcar os 130 anos, o canal oficial do clube no YouTube lança neste sábado a websérie Ser Flamengo, composta por três episódios que revisitam momentos marcantes da trajetória rubro-negra. A produção mergulha na identidade histórica da Nação e nos elementos que moldaram o comportamento do clube ao longo de mais de um século.
A celebração também passa pelo futebol. Neste sábado (15), às 18h30 (horário de Brasília), o time enfrenta o Sport na Arena de Pernambuco, em duelo atrasado da 12ª rodada do Brasileirão, embalado pela vitória sobre o Santos na última rodada.

Com o elenco profundamente desfalcado pela Data Fifa, o Flamengo volta a campo neste sábado para finalmente disputar o jogo atrasado contra o Sport, válido ainda pelo primeiro turno do Brasileirão. A partida, adiada por causa da Copa do Mundo de Clubes, chega em um momento de dificuldades para Filipe Luís — cuja escalação para hoje você confere abaixo.
Rossi; Emerson Royal, João Victor, Léo Pereira e Ayrton Lucas; Pulgar, Saúl e Luiz Araújo; Samuel Lino, Bruno Henrique e Wallace Yan.
O técnico lida com 12 desfalques. A lista é tão extensa que permitiria montar um time de linha completo — e competitivo — apenas com os jogadores indisponíveis. Estão fora: Varela, Danilo, Léo Ortiz, Alex Sandro, Jorginho, De la Cruz, Arrascaeta, Carrascal, Gonzalo Plata e Pedro, além de Matías Viña e Allan como alternativas que também não estarão aptas.
Do total, sete baixas são por convocações (Arrascaeta, Varela, Viña, Carrascal, Plata, Danilo e Alex Sandro) e cinco por lesões (Pedro, Jorginho, Léo Ortiz, De la Cruz e Allan). O cenário obriga Filipe Luís a recorrer à criatividade para montar a equipe.
Diante das ausências, o Flamengo deve entrar em campo com uma formação bem diferente do padrão habitual. Na defesa, João Victor — apreciado por Filipe Luís pelo estilo de jogo — deve ganhar a primeira oportunidade como titular no Brasileirão. Emerson Royal e Ayrton Lucas ocupam naturalmente os lados do campo.
No meio-campo, a base deve começar com Erick Pulgar e Saúl Ñíguez, mas as dúvidas surgem a partir daí. A tendência é que Filipe reorganize o sistema, utilizando quatro jogadores de frente. Uma alternativa é acionar Wallace Yan, que pode atuar tanto pelos lados quanto mais centralizado, formando um ataque dinâmico.
Filipe ainda dispõe de Everton Cebolinha, Michael e Juninho como opções ofensivas. No meio, Evertton Araújo surge como alternativa. Além disso, vários jovens da base estarão à disposição no banco: Bruno Xavier, Daniel Sales, Douglas, Guilherme, Iago e Johnny, podendo ser utilizados em caso de necessidade.
