He emphasized that the team is united and eager to face this challenge, but also made it clear that the support of the fans is essential to achieve the objective.

"We want to count on everyone (against Palmeiras)" , said Tite. This statement demonstrates the desire to unite not only the players and the coaching staff, but also the fans, as an essential part of the team. Tite recognizes the role of fans as the "twelfth player" and highlights the importance of their presence and enthusiasm in the stands.

The team's objective is direct qualification for the Libertadores, and Tite made this very clear . He wants the players to take to the field with determination, focus and commitment, aware that they are competing in something of great importance for the club and its fans. The Libertadores is a prestigious competition, and direct classification represents a significant step towards success.

Tite also made an emotional appeal to fans during the press conference. He said: "This is a request I make to the fans: Fans, all we want is to share joy." Here, he expresses the desire to share happy moments with the fans, to make everyone celebrate the team's victories together. This reflects the spirit of communion that sport provides, uniting players and fans in the same goal.

However, Tite was also sincere when mentioning that "the team will fluctuate". This is a reality of football, where all teams face ups and downs throughout a season. Tite recognizes that there will be difficult moments and challenges to overcome, and it is in these moments that the support of the fans becomes even more crucial.

In this part of the press conference, Tite demonstrates humility by admitting that the team is not immune to difficulties. He does not create unrealistic expectations, but rather prepares the fans to face the fluctuations that are part of the sport. This shows the coach's transparency and his respect for the fans, who deserve to be informed about the team's reality.

In short, Tite's press conference was marked by simplicity, sincerity and cohesion. He expressed the desire to qualify the team for the Libertadores, emphasized the importance of fan support and recognized that the team will face fluctuations. His appeal was direct and emotional, highlighting the search for joy shared with the fans. Tite demonstrated humility by admitting the difficulties the team may face, showing respect for the fans and their vital role in the team's success.

The message conveyed by Tite is clear: the team is determined to achieve direct qualification for the Libertadores, but the path will not be easy. And it is on this journey that the fans play a fundamental role, helping to overcome obstacles and celebrate victories. With this simple and sincere message, Tite inspires everyone, reminding us that football is an exciting journey that is worth living together, with passion and mutual support.

After having a day off last Monday (07), the Flamengo squad will return this Tuesday (08) at Ninho do Urubu. Led by Filipe Luís, the group continues its preparation for the match against São Paulo , which will have an important reinforcement for the game , valid for the 13th round of the Brazilian Championship.

According to the club's official schedule, activity at the CT begins at 9:30 am (Brasília time) , with full focus on the weekend's commitment to its return to the Brazilian football calendar after participating in the FIFA Club World Cup.

FLAMENGO'S NEXT GAME

Flamengo 's next challenge is scheduled for Saturday (12), when Rubro-Negro hosts São Paulo , at 4:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã. The match will be broadcast live on Globo (open TV) and SporTV (closed channel).

FLAMENGO IN THE LEAD OF THE BRAZILIAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Flamengo comes into the match as leaders of the Brazilian Championship. With 24 points from 11 games, Filipe Luís' team is tied for the top of the table with Cruzeiro , but has an advantage in goal difference: 20 to 9. The team's performance in the competition is crucial to keep the club in the running for the national title.

SITUATION IN THE CUPS

In addition to the good moment in the Brasileirão, Flamengo is also alive in the knockout competitions. In the Libertadores, it faces Internacional in the round of 16 , with games scheduled for August 13 and 20. São Paulo will have an important reinforcement off the field in the duel against Flamengo, next Saturday (12), for the Brazilian Championship. Hernán Crespo, announced as the team's new coach, had his name published in the CBF's Daily Information Bulletin (BID) this Monday (07) and is free to command the team at Maracanã. The match, valid for the 13th round, is scheduled for 4:30 pm (Brasília time).

The Argentine takes over after the dismissal of Luis Zubeldía, who was dismissed due to his inconsistent performance in the Brasileirão. Even though the team is still in the Libertadores and the Copa do Brasil, the tricolor board understood that the campaign in the national tournamentwith only 12 points in 12 gameswas insufficient . São Paulo currently occupies 14th place, with two wins, six draws and four losses.

CRESPO MEETS FLAMENGO AGAIN

This will actually be a comeback for Crespo. He already managed São Paulo in 2021, a year in which he faced Flamengo only once — and was defeated with authority . On July 25, Rubro-Negro won 5-1 at Maracanã, with a stellar performance by Bruno Henrique, who scored three goals. Gustavo Henrique and Welington (own goal) also scored, while Arboleda opened the scoring for the visitors.

FLAMENGO LEADS THE CHAMPIONSHIP

The leader of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo, has 24 points in 11 matches — double the score of São Paulo. Tite's team has won seven games, drawn three and lost only one: to Cruzeiro, away from home, with a penalty goal in second-half injury time. This Saturday's match will be the team's first match after the Club World Cup. The match will be broadcast on Globo (free-to-air TV) and Premiere (pay-per-view).

Flamengo returns to the field next Saturday (12), in a match against São Paulo, for the Brasileirão. Soon after, the Rubro-Negro will face Santos, at Vila Belmiro, also for the points-based tournament. Thus, the new reinforcement of the São Paulo team, right-back Igor Vinícius, has made himself available to debut against Mais Querido, on the 16th.

Igor Vinícius makes himself available to Santos for the game against Flamengo: "I've been able to train every day since I arrived".

He continued: "I'm still getting to know the team, the players' characteristics and understanding the way Cléber likes to play. I believe I came here to gain space, I'm available and always respecting my teammates, JP Chermont, Aderlan, as well as Escobar himself who is playing there. I'm at the coach's disposal and I believe I'm capable of playing, yes, against Flamengo ," said the full-back.

SANTOS X FLAMENGO

Thus, Santos and Flamengo will only face each other on July 16, when Mais Querido visits the São Paulo team at Vila Belmiro, for the match valid for the 14th round of the Brazilian Championship, at 8 pm.

BEFORE THAT...
