Lorrane Oliveira and Jade Barbosa are in the fight for leadership of the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championship in the overall individual award. Rebeca Andrade and Flávia Saraiva are out of the competition for not having played on the ground. Flamengo's women's team has been dominating the competition, with the best scores on three different devices.

The Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championship began this Friday in Bahia, at the Lauro Freitas Arena. Representing Mengão, the four gymnasts made spectacular performances. On the ground, Jade Barbosa won the best score, and Lorrane was just behind in second place. And the great Olympic medalist, Rebeca Andrade, had the best score of the day both on the uneven bars (parallel) and on the balance beam.

Although the Flamengo team has great numbers, it is not a red-black team that leads the general individual competition. Andreza Lima accumulated a total score of 52,734 during the day on the four devices (floor, balance beam, parallel bars and vault). The gymnast got great marks in the different classifications, which puts her in first place.

However, our Lorrane is not far behind. The athlete totaled 52,634 and is in second place in the general classification, followed by Julia Soares. Jade Barbosa received 52,166 at the end of the day and could still make it to the podium. Rebeca and Flávia Saraiva are not competing in this modality, since the two stopped performing on the ground.

The competition is not over yet and this Sunday (20) the athletes return to the Lauro Freitas arena. You will know who is the champion of the individual when the sum of the scores of the two days of competition is carried out. So let's keep cheering for our girls!

Admission to follow the competition live is free, but if you're not in Salvador, no problem! The entire Championship is being broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation. Flamengo enters the stage at 14:00 and will have a classification until 16:55.

This past Monday (1), Governor Claudio Castro's undersecretary, Victor Travancas, alleged that the City of Rio de Janeiro committed irregularities when expropriating the land from the Gasometer for the future construction of the Rio de Janeiro stadium Mais Querido. While Victor tries to annul the municipal decree, Eduardo Paes blasted the public official.

“Here is the statement: I doubt that the red-black governor, down to the last strand of his hair, Cláudio Castro, agrees with this . I'm sure that if he doesn't retract, this guy will be exonerated”, wrote Eduardo Paes in a publication on the page Paparazzo Rubro-Negro.

Eduardo Paes took a position on the matter shortly after the Mundo Rubro-Negro portal publish that Victor Travancas is moving to try to cancel the expropriation of the land. The state undersecretary believes that there are irregularities in the City Hall's movement to facilitate the construction of the Dearest on site.

CHECK OUT THE MESSAGE FROM VICTOR TRAVANCAS:

“Dear friends, I waited a week for any lawyer , or the Public Ministry, questioned in the Judiciary the illegal procedure of the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro for the construction of the Flamengo stadium. As no one had the courage, once again, this humble lawyer, following in the footsteps of Master Sobral Pinto, will sacrifice himself personally and go to court today to annul the Decree of Mayor Eduardo Paes. I count on everyone's support in the fight for Morality”, wrote Travancas to friends, according to the Mundo Rubro-Negro portal.

FLAMENGO'S POSITION

Despite Victor's discontent and the statement by Eduardo Paes, the Flamengohas not yet commented on the case. It is possible that the auction for the Gasometer land will take place in the coming months.
