Flamengo's impressive run of games without defeat at Maracanã came to an end this Thursday -Friday (11). In front of 57,517 spectators present at the stadium, the team led by Tite was defeated by Fortaleza 2-1, in a match valid for the 16th round of the Brazilian Championship.

The Copa Libertadores will start this Tuesday (1). Thus, Conmebol announced a series of changes to the competition's regulations and defined that the eight-second rule will be present in this edition .
The new rule highlights that if the goalkeeper holds the ball for more than eight seconds, the referee will have to award a corner to the opposing team.
"From now on, goalkeepers will be able to keep the ball for a maximum of eight seconds.
If they exceed this time, they will be penalized with a corner kick in favor of the opposing team. This new rule aims to speed up the game and avoid unnecessary delays ", the entity published.
It is worth remembering that in the old regulations, it was determined that if the goalkeeper delayed the ball throw-in, an indirect free kick would be awarded. However, it was rarely respected by referees and goalkeepers.
