MC Poze do Rodo and MC Daniel came together to promote good in a fun way. The two Flamengo fans created the MC's Against Hunger Challenge, which will take football and music to social action at the Nilton Santos stadium, in Rio de Janeiro.
“ We are passionate about football, we like watching and playing, so we always talk about it. Every Monday we play a racha at MC Manerinho, several MCs play. It was there that this joke about having a duel between Rio and São Paulo started”, said Poze. “The joke ended up getting serious. We've already called up our teams and started the challenge”, he explained.
“Rivalry only comes when it comes to playing football, when it's happening. We even support the same team. But on stage and in personal life we are very good friends. Whenever Daniel is in Rio, I invite him to come to my house and we play FIFA or have a game here at Arena Sábio. But there's also this game between Carioca and Paulista, right?" joked Poze with a rhetorical question.
The funk player from Rio guarantees that there will be no shortage of skill and talent with the ball: "We played Zico's naked game together. and we just needed to make it rain. Just go to YouTube and watch the videos”, he comments. But now it's time to see who makes the most waves on the field. “On the same side, we broke everything. Now let's see one against the other. RJ is going to be in trouble!"
The two creators of the project have already experienced extreme poverty. With this in mind, they decided to play a charity game with other MCs and the aim is to raise food to donate to people in social vulnerability .
“Both Daniel and I are always strengthening those in need. We come from this reality, so whenever we can, we will help the troops who are there in the rush and needing some morale”, guarantees the MC from Rio. “In this The game couldn't be any different... When the Mainstreet team, who were in charge of the organization, came to talk to us with the idea of doing it in a professional stadium and taking the opportunity to raise money and tons of food, we didn't think much about it” , explained Poze.
The festive match will have the social partnership of Central Única das Favelas (CUFA), which will receive all food donations collected for the big game, and distribute it to its leaders and favelas where has action.
“In CUFA’s DNA are music, sport and social action. So, for us, it is an honor to participate in this great night, which brings together these three themes. We thank Mainstreet, MC Poze do Rodo and MC Daniel, for remembering CUFA in this great event”, said Marcus Vinícius Athayde, director of CUFA.
