The Rio de Janeiro Public Prosecutor's Office (MP-RJ) intensified its investigation into o fire at Ninho do Urubu a>, which resulted in the death of ten young athletes in February 2019. Prosecutor Ana Cristina Fernandes Pinto Villela requested the subpoena of Rodolfo Landim and Rodrigo Dunshee, president and general vice-president of Flamengo, to provide formal clarifications on the management transition after the 2018 elections .
The prosecution seeks to understand the decisions involving the accommodation of base athletes, including the return to the housing modules that ended up being the scene of the tragedy. These modules were identified as inadequate and were reoccupied 39 days after the start of the Landim/Dunshee administration. The information is from the journalist Venê Casagrande.
On the other hand, the defense of Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, president at the time of the construction of the new Training Center, suggests that the responsibility lies with the management that took over in January 2019. According to the defense, the young people were already housed in the new CT b> in December 2018, but were moved back to modules under the new administration.
The case is still ongoing, and Landim and Dunshee's statements will be fundamental in clarifying the responsibilities in the greatest tragedy of the history of the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.
On February 8, 2019, a fire broke out in a container, used to house rooms for Flamengo's youth base, due to a short circuit in an air conditioner. The fire spread and left 10 boys victims: Athila Paixão, Arthur Vinicius, Pablo Henrique, Christian Esmério, Jorge Eduardo, Samuel Thomas, Gedinho, Bernardo Pisetta, Vítor Izaias and Rykelmo Viana. The red and black fans at Maracanã sing, in the 10th minute of every match, in honor of the young people.
The athlete is once again an option for Thiago Carpini after more than a month out and could play against Mais Querido this weekend.

In preparation for the match against Flamengo this weekend , Juventude received some good news. Midfielder Lucas Fernandes, sidelined since the end of July due to injury, has returned to training and is once again available to coach Thiago Carpini. He could be included in the squad for the match against "Mais Querido" in the Brazilian Championship.
Signed in early July, Lucas Fernandes played only once for Juventude : on the 27th of that month, in a 3-0 loss to Bahia in the Brasileirão. After that match, the midfielder felt muscle discomfort and was rested for the following game, against Santos. Tests revealed a grade 1 thigh injury, ruling him out of the matches against Corinthians, Vitória, Vasco, Botafogo, and Ceará.
Throughout the season, Thiago Carpini alternated his midfield formation, using more experienced players like Nenê to reinforce the midfield in matches against Vasco and Botafogo. Lucas Fernandes' return opens up the possibility of a new tactical variation. Even if he doesn't start, the former São Paulo player could be an important player in adding dynamism to the team during the match.
While Mengão leads Série A with 47 points from 21 matches (14 wins, five draws and two losses), Cruzeiro (44 points) and Palmeiras (43) follow. Juventude is in 18th place with 21 points and is looking for a comeback to leave the relegation zone. Flamengo trains on Friday (11) and Saturday (12), at 9:30 am, at Ninho do Urubu, and leaves for Caxias do Sul on Saturday afternoon.
