In all recent games, whatever the result, one issue predominates for Flamengo: the calendar. The club, which is in a war with the CBF, constantly talks about how much it is being harmed by the Copa América period, but it will have important days ahead. Tite will finally get what he asks for so much: more rest and training.

End of the marathon

Flamengo will only play again on Thursday, against Fortaleza, in the Brazilian Championship. The club wanted more time between matches already played against Cuiabá and Atlético-MG in the last rounds, but was unable to plead with the CBF for a change to Sunday or Monday.

The team, at least, will have a day off this Sunday. With the sequence of several games in a few days, the group had not been able to have a free day since the defeat of Vasco, which took place on June 2nd. After the duel with Fortaleza, there are nine days until the next match. As the clash with Internacional was postponed, Fla will have a margin until they travel to Brasília to face Criciúma.

On the 20th, for the 18th round, the squad will already be complete. The Uruguayans Arrascaeta, Viña, Varela and De la Cruz continue in the Copa América and return to Brazil between the 13th and 15th. Tite, however, will need to assess the condition of each one to find out if they can start as starters or if they need rest. Chilean Pulgar, for example, returned to the bench and only started in the next game.

The "rest" could be fundamental in this marathon. Flamengo hopes to empty the medical department soon and understands that the injuries are the result of this wear and tear. Bruno Henrique was the latest bad news with a sprain. The player will still undergo additional tests between this Sunday and Monday. For Thursday's game, his presence is unlikely — in the following games, it will depend on developments.

Fla may make a comeback. Igor Jesus is already training with the squad and has a chance to return to the squad in the next round. Everton Cebolinha is in the transition phase with physiotherapy: after that, the attacker will still undergo physical preparation before joining his teammates — there is an estimate that he could return against Criciúma.

" I'm going to talk a little [in the sphere] guys. I went to sleep yesterday. The first day after the game you don't rest, you have the energy. I don't know if, with Bruno Henrique being clean, he can get out of contact and not get hurt. When there are excessive games, the propensity for an athlete to get injured is much greater. If the athletes' union said that 66 hours is the minimum time [between one match and another], they are wrong too. I don't know if that could have influenced him getting hurt."
