Petterson was on loan to Athletico-PR until the end of the season, with economic rights set at three million euros (around R$16 millions). However, the striker was removed for disciplinary reasons and ended up no longer being used by the club from Paraná. During his time at Athletico-PR, Petterson played just 32 minutes and scored one goal.

Outside the plans of both Flamengo and Athletico-PR, Petterson had to look for a new destination. Flamengo collaborated to prevent the player from training separately until the end of the contract and found an opportunity to negotiate him with Estrela Vermelha, from Portugal.

One of the red-and-black jewels could soon leave the club. However, unlike Lucas Paquetá, Vini Júnior, among others, is not due to appreciation, but rather due to devaluation. In this sense, the player's Staff believes that the player is devaluing himself at Flamengo with the lack of continuity in coach Tite's team. The midfielder has played very few minutes in the current season and proposals will be evaluated, according to information from Raisa Simplicio.

At the beginning of the year, Rubro-Negro saw the 18-year-old player with the potential to be the next great sale of the club, but as it does not gain space to play in games, even with the series of recent absences, both parties are looking for a solution in the next transfer window.

Flamengo only agreed to sell Matheus Gonçalves for more of 20 million euros (R$ 118.2 million). However, due to the current scenario, people close to the 18-year-old believe that if an offer of 10 million euros (R$59 million) arrives, it will be a 'miracle'.

The jewel was even loaned to RB Bragantino in July of the previous year, but returned in December to be the coach's option for the season. According to the journalist, the Gávea club is reluctant to loan the player, who had previous inquiries from Santos and Corinthians, to other clubs in Brazil.

On the other hand, the athlete's staff understands that if Flamengo opens the door again for a loan in Brazilian football, the range of options for Matheus Gonçalves increases significantly.
