In the last round of the first phase of the Guilherme Embry Under-16 Tournament, Flamengo thrashed Nova Cidade 9-0 this afternoon Saturday (19), in Gávea, and qualified for the semi-finals of the competition. The red and black goals were scored by Matheus, Jhefinho (2), Kaio Gomes (2), Rogerio, Enzo, Diego and Ryan Pablo . Now, Garotos do Ninho will have the classic against Vasco to decide a place in the decision.

The game

The match started with Garotos do Ninho taking the initiativeand occupying the attacking field. And after just seven minutes, Mengão opened the scoring. Davi Waisman passed it to Matheus inside the area and the full-back hit the corner hard to score 1-0. After the goal, Flamengo continued to attack, seeking to extend the advantage. There was still time for one more red-black goal before the break.
