In the last five months, Mais Querido recorded a drop in the number of paying fan members, impacting its position in the ranking of Series A and B of the Brazilian Championship. According to a survey by Espião Estatístico, Flamengo went from 80 thousand members, in July, to 77.5 thousand in December, falling from 5th to 7th place in the list.
The ranking is led by Palmeiras, with more than 197 thousand active members, followed by Atlético-MG, Internacional and Grêmio. Flamengo appears behind clubs like Cruzeiro and Botafogo, even though it has a total number of members that exceeds 300 thousand, of which only 25% are up to date with their plans.
CHALLENGES FOR THE NEW PRESIDENT OF FLAMENGO
With Bap's inauguration next Wednesday, the club seeks to reverse the situation and improve the fan membership program from 2024. The new president takes over with the mission of increasing the number of members and reducing the default rate, one of the main program bottlenecks.
