Dona Ruth and João Gustavo, mother and brother of Marília Mendonça, made the decision to stop following Maiara and Maraisa on Instagram. The attitude was a response to the singers' refusal to participate in a tribute organized by Spotify to honor Marília, who passed away in November 2021 in a plane crash.
