In this world, you left Leo, a lion who will fight for your dreams and, when he can no longer, we will be here to tell you him: 'Don't stop'", said the Mexican artist.

At the stadium, fans were moved by the tribute that RBD paid to the eternal Queen of Suffering. After the end of the tribute, the public began to shout Marília's name in praise of the artist.

In addition to the tribute, the band's last show in Brazil was special because it included the presence of Anahi. This past Tuesday (17), singer Luísa Sonza celebrated the nomination of the song "Chico", made in honor of Chico Moedas, her ex-boyfriend, for the award for Best Song in the Portuguese Language at the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards. The artist, who was betrayed by the influencer shortly after the release of the song, responded to a fan's comment about "making music for others".

"That Chico will never be forgotten", said an internet user in the page's comments by the artist, who also received the nomination for Best Contemporary Pop Album in the Portuguese Language with Escândalo Íntimo. "Mercy. I love Luísa, but don't make music for any man anymore, no. They don't deserve you", wrote another.

"Do you still think that songs are made for other people? I'm the one nominated for a Grammy me and nothing anyone says or does will take away the pride I have in having made this song! I genuinely love it and I believe this is one of, if not the best song I've ever made", replied Luísa Sonza.

The singer also added: "As I've said since 'Penhasco', I can't stop writing and blocking the creativity of the moment by someone else, or not releasing it because of a third party, the song in the end will always be about me and my feelings, and I swear that I think this is my greatest asset and is one of the reasons for so much success, I am visceral."

Last Saturday, Chico Moedas enjoyed the shows at Rock in Rio and denied the possibility of checking out Luísa's performance, with whom he had a relationship in 2023, who will open the Palco Mundo on the last day of the event: "That's crazy. I wouldn't see it, I think it's unnecessary, there's no reason", he replied.

Dona Ruth and João Gustavo, mother and brother of Marília Mendonça, made the decision to stop following Maiara and Maraisa on Instagram. The attitude was a response to the singers' refusal to participate in a tribute organized by Spotify to honor Marília, who passed away in November 2021 in a plane crash.

Dona Ruth expressed her feeling in a post on social media : “It is in the moments that we need most that we discover the true friends we know that we can really count on”, he wrote, while the song "Leão", by Marília Mendonça, played in the background.

According to the program “Fofocalizando”, from SBT, the decision not to participate in the tribute came from Maiara. The reason given was that the singer would not have the emotional conditions to perform at the stadium where, together with Marília and Maraisa, she performed with the "Patroas" project shortly before the tragedy that killed Marília Mendonça.

João Gustavo, Marília's brother, confirmed to the program that Maiara and Maraisa were invited to the event. “At this moment we see who is with us and wants to make this legacy continue. Unfollowing speaks for itself”, he declared, demonstrating his disappointment.

TRIBUTE DETAILS

The tribute to Marília Mendonça is scheduled for October 5th, at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo. The event aims to celebrate the career and legacy of the artist, who left a profound mark on country music. The absence of Maiara and Maraisa, who were Marília's close partners in the "Patroas" project, is notable and has generated discussions among fans and the artistic community.

REPERCUSSION

Dona Ruth and João Gustavo's decision to stop following Maiara and Maraisa on social media highlights their frustration and discontent with the situation. The singers' refusal to participate in the tribute, for personal and emotional reasons, raised questions about support and friendship in the artistic world, especially in moments of tribute and remembrance of such beloved figures as Marília Mendonça.
