The 2024 edition of Rock in Rio starts this Friday (12) with a program focused mainly on rap. The highlight of the night is Travis Scott, one of the biggest names in the contemporary genre scene. The North American artist will be the main attraction on Palco Mundo, bringing the "Circus Maximus" tour, based on his most recent album, Utopia, released in 2023.
Travis Scott's show promises to be one of the most anticipated moments of Rock in Rio. In addition to presenting tracks from his new work, such as the psychedelic "Fe!n", the rapper usually repeats some songs throughout his performance, with records of "Fe!n" being played up to ten times in a single show. Among other hits that should appear in the setlist are hits such as "Butterfly Effect" and "Highest in the Room".
The night also features the debut of British rapper 21 Savage on Brazilian soil. The artist, who will warm up the audience before Travis Scott, can pay homage to Brazil during the performance of the song "Redrum", from his most recent album American Dream, which features a sample of the iconic "Serenata do Adeus", by Vinicius de Moraes. 21 Savage's show is divided into acts and often includes covers by names like Drake, Post Malone and Metro Boomin.
