The Brazilian team and Conmebol are always in conflict, whether in the sporting or political sphere. In this sense, the entities were once again surprised when Dorival Jr's team arrived at the hotel where the cast will be staying in Las Vegas.

At first, the delegation wanted to enter through the front door of the place, but The bus driver didn't let me. The professional responds to Conmebol and did not stop the vehicle at the front entrance, stating that he had orders to leave the team in the back.

The fact greatly disturbed the leadership of the Brazilian team, and the president of the CBF Ednaldo Rodrigues came to saying to the site's security team: "We are not criminals." The statement was caught by TNT Sports cameras.

It is not the first time that the landing site has generated friction between CBF and Conmebol. In College Station, the team entered through the back door too, but was criticized and, since then, has insisted on entering through the front door. It was like this in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Santa Clara.

It is another episode in what has already become an open war between Conmebol and the Brazilian entity. The team complains about the structure offered, the logistics, the Copa América pitches and the refereeing.

The CBF will even file a formal complaint against the refereeing of the game against Colombia, which failed to award a clear penalty in Vini Jr. The entity later acknowledged the error, but the CBF will also question the criteria used and request the suspension of the entire refereeing team.

The 2024 season highlighted a huge financial disparity between South American competitions, highlighting the difference in prizes for the Copa do Brasil and the Argentine Cup. While the Copa do Brasil champion will pocket a significant US$13 million, the winner of the Copa Argentina will be left with a modest US$70,000. This comparison exposes not only the financial discrepancy between the two competitions, but also a structural abyss between Brazilian and Argentine football.

For To illustrate better, an Argentine team would have to win the Copa Argentina an impressive 186 times to reach the amount paid for winning the Copa do Brasil just once. This disparity reveals a series of factors that influence the economy of clubs in each country, from broadcasting rights and sponsorship agreements to the valuation of competitions and the ability to generate revenue through fans and brands involved.

HOW COMPETITIONS ARE PAYING

The difference in World Cup prizes is not only limited to the absolute value in dollars, but also reconsider the financial impact that each competition can have on participating clubs. In Brazil, the Copa do Brasil is widely seen as one of the country's main tournaments, which results in millionaire sponsorships, extensive television coverage and great visibility for the clubs. In Argentina, although the Copa Argentina has its historical and competitive value, it does not have the same financial relevance and financial support as its Brazilian counterpart.

DO CLUBS UNDERSTAND DISPARIETY?

Furthermore, the more robust prizes in the Copa do Brasil allow Brazilian clubs to maintain a high level of competitiveness , reinvesting in the structure, in the youth categories and, mainly, in the acquisition of players. Meanwhile, Argentine clubs face difficulties in maintaining the same level of investment, which creates a competitive disadvantage not only in local competitions, but also in international tournaments, such as the Libertadores and Sudamericana.

The consequences of this disparity in awards are clear and can be observed in the performance of Brazilian and Argentine clubs in international competitions. In recent years, Brazilian clubs have been dominating South American tournaments, largely due to their ability to invest in qualified squads and modern infrastructure. The amounts received for participating in and winning tournaments such as the Copa do Brasil provide Brazilian clubs with significant revenue, which is used to strengthen squads and the ability to compete on equal terms with major world teams.

Champion of the Copa São Paulo with Flamengo in 2011, former defender Frauches, now retired from the field, the former -Mengão spoke about his love for Rubro-Negro. Frauches was at Neo Química Arenato follow Mengão's classification for the final of the Copa do Brasil and shared an emotional video on social media. In his words, he opened his heart about this passion.

“I have three friends who always go, see the titles, the tears and always share them with me. Now that my daughter is big, I'm enjoying it. It's very good, I take the opportunity to get out what I couldn't do inside. Being Flamengo is very good”, said Frauches in an interview with the portal 'Mundo Rubro-Negro'.

Frauches was part of the professional cast of Flamengo from 2012 to 2015, but hadfew opportunities. During this period, the club won the Copa do Brasil in 2013 and the Campeonato Carioca in 2014. The former defender worked with coaches such as Joel Santana, Dorival Júnior, Jorginho, Mano Menezes, Jayme de Almeida, Ney Franco, Vanderlei Luxemburgo, Cristóvão Borges and Oswaldo de Oliveira, but he has a special affection for Dorival.

“It's the best feeling in the world to play for Flamengo, it's priceless. I didn't have a peak, especially because I never received many chances. I played a few games in a row with Dorival Júnior, but soon after he left. Even so, I feel privileged to have helped even 1%”, said the former defender.

Frauches attributes the pressure for results as the reason why he had few chances at Flamengo. In total, he played 27 times for the club, with 16 wins, six draws and five defeats. His last match for Rubro-Negro was a 1-0 victory over Chapecoense, on December 6, 2015, in the Brasileirão.

“I caught Flamengo in a phase of ups and downs. I think the moment was not good for some young people. The demand for short-term results sometimes leaves you aside”, he concluded.

After leaving Flamengo, the former defender played for Macaé, Boavista-RJ, as well as the Thai clubs Army United and Siam Navy .
