Fans who were watching the clash between Chaves and Estoril invaded the pitch and attacked the player. Marcelo Carné, goalkeeper revealed by Mengão, who plays for Estoril, was the main target of the attacks. The match was stopped for 20 minutes due to an invasion by fans of the home team and only returned to normal after interventions by the police. The athlete was also expelled by the referee for defending himself from the attacks.

Flamengo's goalkeeper was still the victim of something else, in addition to aggression. The Chaves board, allegedly claimed that Marcelo Carné himself was responsible for the incident, which made the situation even worse. Fans of Estoril's opponent stoned the team's bus after the match. The athlete Marcelo Carné did not play any official matches for Flamengo's professional team, according to data from the website oGol. After several seasons in the youth division, the goalkeeper was constantly loaned out by the red-black board. Carné arrived in Portuguese football in 2022, to play for Marítimo, before defending the colors of Estoril, the club he plays for today and where Cria do Mengão suffered the incident.
