After making changes in the football department, Flamengo moved to the club's historical heritage portfolio. Last Friday (16), the current management of Rubro-Negro fired Rodrigo Saboia, department manager. According to the Coluna do Fla report, Flamengo fired Saboia “due to incompatibility with management”. Therefore, the now former manager used social media to say goodbye to the club, where he worked for 20 years.
In the letter, Rodrigo Saboia details the functions he performed over the two decades in managing the club's historical heritage . The red-black, in fact, was one of the executors of the Flamengo Museum, opened in 2023 to exalt and immortalize the history of Fla.
“Last Friday, I was dismissed from the management of the Flamengo Historical Heritage and that's why I come here to thank you for your support over the 20 years that I've provided services to our Club", wrote the professional, at the beginning of his farewell letter. He also added, thanking the current presidency and saying that he doesn't take bad feelings from the club:
"I leave my position with the gratitude of those who had the support to carry out and carried out with excellence the mission of preserving, organizing, controlling, guarding and conserving Flamengo's historical values, increasing the collection through research and capture of assets and data, provide information and support, internally and externally, with the purpose of disseminating and preserving the history, traditions and symbols of Flamengo, managing the Flamengo Museum, and coordinating the execution of projects, programs and measures to encourage culture.
I would like to thank President Rodolfo Landim who, since his arrival as president, has given me all the support to leave a great legacy for our institution (Department of Historical Heritage built, Museology teams, History , Museum Education and Document Management consolidated with the best international practices, construction and inauguration of the Flamengo Museum and in the next few days launch of the Digital Museum).
I'm saying goodbye to a position at Flamengo, but Flamengo will never leave of me and I will always be available to assist the Club in whatever is necessary.
No one is irreplaceable, but each of us is unique and unrepeatable."
After a strong performance in the transfer market, Mengão director admits to trying to get a star player from the yellow jersey and hopes to get another opportunity.

Flamengo remains active behind the scenes to assemble a competitive squad for the start of the next Brazilian volleyball season. With new investments in the project, the club is targeting a key reinforcement: opposite Rosamaria, a standout player for the Brazilian national team and one of the country's top players.

Former player and idol of Flamengo basketball Olivinha announced this Tuesday (09) that he will not continue on Flamengo TV. Since October 2024, he worked as a commentator on the club's official channel , but confirmed the end of the contract through social media.

Although unusual, Embiid's presence in the Lakes Region has a reason. Married to Brazilian model Anne de Paula, the athlete often visits the city, where his father-in-law lives, during the holidays. This time, he took the opportunity to explore the "Nação Rubro-Negra" store and expand his Flamengo memorabilia collection.
