Minister Gilmar Mendes, of the Federal Supreme Court, responded to a request from comedian Marcius Melhem to have access to videos of testimonies from women who accuse him of sexual harassment. They explained the entire situation to the Assistance Center for Victims of Domestic Violence of the Public Ministry of São Paulo.

The Flamengo fan appealed to the STF after the MPSP denied him access to the images. The prosecutor had vetoed Melhem's access to protect the accusers' privacy, after some videos had been leaked, exposing and possibly revictimizing them. Melhem had already received, however, a copy of the transcripts.

All statements were given in May of this year, at the complainants' home, and it was the which formed the basis of the investigation taking place in São Paulo, which is investigating whether he commits psychological violence against the women who accuse him.

All this started due to more accusations that were raised in the name of the former director of Globo. Melhem had been accused of harassment by several women. He then created a YouTube channel where he justified himself and said that they were liars, under the pretext of defending himself. The platform and its content were seen as misogynistic, as they attacked the complainants.

Recently, the Federal Supreme Court denied a request by the comedian to remove prosecutor Isabela Jourdan from the case against the Flamengo fan. Jourdan was responsible for reporting Melhem to court in August, together with prosecutor Fernando Cury. He was accused by the MP of sexual harassment against three actresses, two of which were Carol Portes and Georgiana Góes. The third woman Melhem is accused of harassing had her identity preserved. The complaint was accepted months ago, making the actor a defendant.

My children's father also sells football bets", declared Piovani, referring to Scooby's involvement with this type of advertising. The actor and director Marcius Melhemis the target of yet another criminal complaint, now on suspicion of attacking women on social media who accuse him of sexual harassment and harassment. The Public Ministry of São Paulo (MP-SP) asks that he be convicted of the crimes of persecution and psychological violence.

After the case of the accusations became public, the comedian started using social networks to give his version . It turns out that, in the opinion of the Public Prosecutor's Office, he exceeded the limits of the right to defense and embarked on an attempt at "retaliation", which the complaint calls a "vindictive campaign".

Prosecutor Paulo Henrique Castex, who wrote the piece, states that the comedian exposed women's intimacy "without any concern for the highly damaging consequences that these public exposures can cause". He lists, for example, emotional damages and even financial losses. The complaint also attributes to the artist a "plan of massive attacks on the honor and dignity" of these women, supported by hate speech, all with the aim of disqualifying them, according to the MP.

"On the pretext to 'exercise his defense' before the public, Melhem organized and put into practice a digital multiplatform orchestration campaign, with attacks of all kinds against the victims, including the use of elements of gender discrimination, imbued with a feeling of revenge, which has been perpetuated over time", says an excerpt from the complaint, filed on February 26th.

O Public Prosecutor's Office also states that Marcius Melhem tried to attribute to women the stereotype of "liars, opportunists, with sexual behavior immoral". "Melhem's public defense campaign adopts the true contours of the hateful legitimate defense of honor, an archaic concept that allowed a man to act with vindictive violence against a woman who had 'dishonored' him", adds the MP.

The prosecutor cites a study by NetLab, a research laboratory on the internet and social networks at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), which concluded that the actor incited followers to engage in attacks and created a "community with multiplatform action, which reinforces misogyny" online. The next step is the analysis of the complaint by the Judiciary. If the judge responsible considers that there is evidence of a crime, a criminal case will be opened.

Judge Luciane Jabur Figueiredo, from the 21st Criminal Court of São Paulo, referred the case to the Court of Justice of Rio, where criminal actions are already being processed against the comedian.
