Alexey Borges gave an interview after Flamengo's victory over Caxias do Sul by 80 to 77 , this Tuesday (29), which leaves the Pride of the Nation with a 2 to 1 advantage in the round of 16 of the NBB. The point guard celebrated the condition of one game to achieve classification, but admitted that the team did not play a good game.
"We didn't play a very good game. It was a slow game, but Caxias also deserves a lot of credit for that. They played a great game once again. I think we need to hold on to our advantage better. We opened up a good lead, almost 20 points, and on defense we made a lot of mistakes. When the ball isn't falling in attack, we need to be better on defense," he said.
The standout player in FlaBasquete 's triumph over Caxias was Ruan Miranda . The only center available after Gallizzi's injury, the number 30 took on the responsibility and finished Game 3 of the NBB round of 16 with a double-double: 23 points and 15 rebounds.
A performance that was highly praised by Alexey after the final whistle. MVP of the Champions League Americas , the point guard scored 10 points and gave seven assists in Tuesday's match.
"Ruan helped us out with offensive rebounds in particular, he helped us a lot and we managed to win. The important thing is to win and now we just need one more to go through," concluded the point guard.

The first game of the series was at the rival's home and ended with a 98-52 victory for the red-black team, which determined the biggest difference of a score in the history of the confrontation.
If the opponent wins, the round of 16 will return to Rio de Janeiro for a fifth and decisive game . If necessary, this match will take place next Monday (5), at Maracanãzinho.
The series that defines Flamengo or Caxias do Sul's opponent in the NBB quarterfinals is tied. Corinthians and União Corinthians face each other this Wednesday (30) to define who will have the advantage. Just like Mengão's series, the duel will go on until at least Game 4.
