With ten games remaining until the end of the regular season, Flamengo regained the lead in the NBB classification after a week with Minas' stumble. The teams have been fighting for the top of the table since the beginning of the season. But, with the Minas Gerais team's defeat to São Paulo, Franca also gained a position. Onwenu's good performance was added to the great performances of Landeira and Pedro Pastre , a duo that led the team in decisive moments and helped confirm the title against the USA.
