During a press conference held this Saturday (9), Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti came out in defense of the Brazilian player Vinícius Jr, ex-Flamengo.

Ancelotti expressed his concern about the intensity of criticism and persecution directed at Vinícius, describing him as the most persecuted player he has ever witnessed in his entire career. He regretted the kicks and insults suffered by the Brazilian and urged a change of attitude towards him.

"I did a little research into history and statistics... I've never seen a player be as persecuted as Vinícius. Everyone must change their attitude towards Vinícius. It has never happened to a player with great talent to go through all this", said Ancelotti.

ANCELOTTI IS ANNOYED BY THE POSTURE OF JUDGES

This was Ancelotti's first stance after the controversy involving Vini Jr., who was involved in a disagreement with Orbán and hit the RB Leipzig player in the neck with his hands. On the subject, the coach stated that the Brazilian is the target of attacks, insults, provocations and responds on the field.

"People say and do everything to him. What does he need to do? They hit They insult him, boo him... He continues to score goals and provide assists", emphasized Ancelotti.

Last Wednesday (4), Flamengo held the seventh edition of the Sangue Rubro-negro campaign, at the Gávea headquarters. Hemorio's partner team was at the Gávea headquarters, from 10am to 3pm, collecting blood in the playground's party room. Athletes, employees and associates were able to donate and make a difference: each bag of blood can save up to four lives.

In addition to encouraging blood donation, the campaign also sought to raise awareness about the importance of this act of generosity and how it can save lives. “The partnership with Flamengo Social Responsibility is very important. More than attracting donors, this action seeks to awaken civic and social sentiment, ensure greater dissemination and demystify fears. It is an extremely educational and important action for maintaining stocks”, declared Dr. Renata de Almeida, a Hemorio doctor present at the action.

Blood donation is essential for health units to continue serving patients undergoing treatments and surgeries. The only way to guarantee the blood supply is through voluntary donations.

To donate blood, you must have an official identification document with photo, original or certified copy; be between 16 and 69 years old; be fed and in good health; weigh more than 50 kg; not be pregnant or breastfeeding. For more information about donating blood, visit www.hemorio.rj.gov.br or call 0800 282 0708. Hemorio is located at Rua Frei Caneca, nº 8, in the center of Rio. Donate blood, donate life!

This Saturday morning (7), Flamengo faced Nova Iguaçu and won 2-0, in the first game of the quarter-finals of the Carioca U20. The team led by Filipe Luís opened a good lead for the second leg. The goals of the match were scored by Guilherme and Wallace Yan.

In the qualifying phase, Mais Querido, despite sharing the spotlight with the Brasileirão under-20 and preparing for the World Cup, had a good campaign. Rubro-Negro advanced in second place, with 26 points from 11 games. Winning eight matches, drawing two and losing only once.

Mixing the team between the main team and the reserves during the competition, the team also had alternation between coaches. This is because Rafael Bahia led Rubro-Negro in the Carioca under-20 and Filipe Luís led the team in the Brasileirão and World Cup in the category.

FOCUS ON THE NEXT GAME

Now, Mais Querido returns to the field next Saturday (14), in the return match of the quarter-finals of the Carioca under-20. By having a 2-0 lead on the scoreboard, Rubro-Negro can lose by up to a goal difference and will advance to the semi-finals. The game will be at 9:30 am, in Gávea.
