Preta Gil, 50 years old, revealed that she will undergo a new surgery on the 15th, in Brazil, to remove tumors related to cancer colorectal. The singer, who is currently in New York, shared the update on her health status in a video posted on Instagram this Wednesday (11).
In the video, Preta explained that the trip to the United States included a consultation with an oncologist specialized in the type of tumor she is facing, as part of a recommendation from her Brazilian doctors to obtain a second opinion. “This surgery has been scheduled for some time, it is to remove the tumors”, he stated.
TREATMENT ABROAD AS AN ALTERNATIVE
The singer highlighted that she is considering carrying out post-operative treatment outside of Brazil, as she has not obtained the expected response to the therapies carried out so far. “The chemotherapy I underwent in Brazil was not as effective as the doctors expected”, he revealed.
Preta also highlighted the importance of seeking alternatives in other countries, mentioning advanced studies and therapies that are not yet available in Brazil. “We need to explore possibilities with different drugs and trials, some of which have not yet been published”, he added.

Diagnosed with colorectal cancer in January 2023, the artist faced surgery and chemotherapy that initially took the disease into remission. However, in August this year, Preta announced the return of the cancer, now located in four different areas.

In an interview with the LeoDias portal, Jojo reported that she suffers insults daily and that these attacks intensified after revealing her political position: “ People want to dictate what others want to say ”.
COMPLAINT AGAINST INFLUENCER
Jojo also denied having committed any prejudiced act against influencer Amanda Froes and also stated that she reported the influencer for racism. According to the singer's lawyer, more than 30 police reports for hate crimes have already been filed against the artist.
It is worth remembering that the fight began in April, when Amanda said she did not care to greet the singer at the condominium, criticizing her positions against the rights of the LGBTQIAPN+ community.
Jojo responded by calling her neighbor a "slut" and a "demon": “In fact, I am the victim, I am the victim of the story. My integrity was violated from the moment she came out publicly to say – where I would live in the future, that I don't even live there – she filed a slanderous complaint saying that I was transphobic towards her and I didn't even know what her gender identity was. I have no knowledge of who this person is. I think it is absurd for you to come out publicly to talk about a person you don't know .”
COMPENSATION REQUESTED BY AMANDA
In the lawsuit, Amanda Froes is asking for R$50,000 in moral damages, claiming that the singer's statements were made in bad faith, violating her honor, gender identity and dignity as a trans woman. The influencer also claims to have been the victim of a digital moral lynching, suffering attacks due to Jojo's notorious power of influence.

In an interview, Susana highlighted that she is "terrified" of dying: " I'm terrified, I'm afraid, I feel sorry for dying, actually, because I think I'm still fine, I still need to do a lot of things", she stated, in an interview with journalist Marcos Bulques.
“ There are so many people who can still come see me in the theater, I have so much comedy to tell , I have so many things that I think I don’t want to leave [in life], there are still so many trips that I want to take with my grandchildren, who are 30 years old, I want to travel with them”, said Susana Vieira.
