Former narrator exposes controversial opinion in an interview with 'Pod Chegar'

Veteran narrator Sílvio Luiz, 89, was a guest on the podcast ‘Pod Chegar’. During the interview, the journalist declared that he did not like female narration in football, which is starting to gain space on Brazilian TV.
“Honestly, I don't like it. It's a lack of adaptation. There will come a day when I will like it, but at the moment I don't like it. When I see that a woman is narrating, I change to another channel where there is a man”, he complained.
After making the controversial statement, Sílvio was asked if he did not believe he was being sexist, to which he replied:
“No, for God's sake. It's not that I don't want her to narrate. I want her to narrate, but my ear hasn't adjusted yet. It is a very well acquired space, after much struggle. I still haven't adapted to that tone of voice,” he said.
Currently, Sílvio works for Rede TV, commenting on football on Rede TV News.

Former goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes, who gained national prominence when playing for Flamengoand was convicted of the murder of Eliza Samudio , now works as a furniture delivery man. At 39 years old, Bruno was seen performing his new role in Rio das Ostras, a city on the coast of Rio de Janeiro. The information was released by CNN Brasil.
The revelation of Bruno's new occupation was made by the "Rio das Ostras 24 hora" profile on Instagram. A video published on the platform shows the former player unloading furniture from a truck in the city center. He would be working for a furniture company that also operates in Cabo Frio and Macaé, other locations on the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
In 2023, Bruno had already released videos on social media promoting a furniture company, which indicated his approach to this new field of activity.
Bruno was sentenced to 22 years in prison in 2010 for the crimes of murder and concealment of corpse of Eliza Samudio, in addition to the kidnapping of her son Bruninho. At the time, he was a goalkeeper for Mais Querido, and his arrest interrupted a career that was on the rise.
